The Left’s meltdown continues at a stunning pace. Sarah is now accused of not being a woman at all, strangely enough by an old woman who looks like Roger Ebert.

All Beliefs Welcome, Unless They are Forced on Others

Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman. The Republican party’s cynical calculation that because she has a womb and makes lots and lots of babies (and drives them to school! wow!) she speaks for the women of America, and will capture their hearts and their votes, has driven thousands of real women to take to their computers in outrage. She does not speak for women; she has no sympathy for the problems of other women, particularly working class women.

Read the whole thing, after which you’ll find the phrase “needs medication” will seem to invade your mind. For some unknown reason.

We haven’t even had the election yet and they’re flipping out. One has to wonder exactly what these people are going to do when they lose in November,

I’m quite stunned with Ebert’s abrasive, cruel, stupid and unusual remarks. He has been quite ill in recent years, so maybe he thought he was reviewing a Matt Damon movie. Then again, he lives in Chicago and could have been smoking crack with Oprah.

It’s fun to watch the left melt, but I guess I keep thinking there’s a point to where common sense and truth will set in with these people.

Perhaps Ebert accusing Palin of not being a woman was, in his own foul way, admitting that in reality, Palin has more balls than anyone on the left.

(Hope that b-word was not a wrong thing to submit on the site)

In the comment section of that article, the writer is being ripped a new one. LOL!!

Geez, some people are just so tiring for me.

Her article reminded me on some level of that commercial where a job candidate is talking about his qualifications but the hirer can only hear the stain blattering on the shirt.

Let’s hope they defect to Canada as they’re so fond of promising.

  5. bstndance says:

Did Palin ever claim to speak for all women? I don’t think so. The left is soooo messed up.

  6. Ray Zacek says:

It’s almost as appalling as Obama’s pretense of being a black man.

Liberal women and especially “Movement” feminists have always dismissed women with a different point of view. At 56, I’ve been a lifestyle feminist my entire adult life and have run into these selective misogynists – women hating women -and I’ve always spoken up for what feminism is really about — CHOICE — CHOICE TO BE WHATEVER KIND OF WOMAN YOU WANT TO BE!

  8. Stephen R. says:

It is amazing to me how, for some women, the absolute definition of the word “woman” includes the words “supports abortion”. For them, abortion is the be-all and end-all of “women’s rights”.

Ummm. Artgal — the “looks like Roger Ebert” thing was a joke. The author of that is Wendy Doniger.

  9. Stephen R. says:

Actually, as a pro-life atheist, it also amuses me when people think that “pro-life” is, by definition, a manifestation of religious zealotry.

In the past one of the best indicators of my enjoying a movie was that Roger Ebert didn’t like it. I found that my pride in America was directly opposite of many elitists on the left.

Keep talking Ebert. You show how the American voting public is misunderstood by nasty people like you, thinking you influence the culture and the behavior of the public.

The unmitigated gall of this pompous buffoon is really just a symptom of his sycophantic praise of the Hollywood crowd and by extension Barack Obama in his celebrity worship.

  11. artgal says:

My bad, Stephen R. – I caught that later when I read it yet again still in disbelief with what is being written about Palin. My emotions are at a fever pitch and as such, I just had Ebert on the brain.

I have to admit that the level of hatred toward Palin is just absolutely mind-boggling to me and, I believe, to most of us here. I don’t even know why I’m surprised by it, but I am.

I’ve read more hate filled and moronic articles this past 10 days then I’ve read in the past 10 years. What total panic the left are in to write such horrible trash and attack a woman and her family personally. Mz. Doniger couldn’t be more wrong.
By the reaction of the people I am seeing and talking to Sarah Palin most definitely does speak for women. She is one of us. Feminazis like Doniger have one issue and one concern only. Abortion. It is their god.
When the Palin/McCain ticket win the White House this November I don’t think the drug company that manufactures Prozac will be able to keep up with the demand for the drug.
I think buying stock in Eli Lilly & Co. will be a sure thing.
And please, all those elites who threaten to leave the country if McPalin are elected, please keep you word this time and go.

  13. Draybee says:

Actually, Ebert has written a critique of Sarah Palin that’s only slightly less venomous. James Lileks commented on it today (9/11/08). Unfortunately his link to the article no longer works. Hmm…

But if you want a refreshing blast of free thinking liberalism regarding Palin, I recommend Camille Paglia’s latest Salon column. Although she supports Obama and disagrees with Palin’s political views, she praises Palin as a “powerful new feminist”. No knee-jerking here. And as with all of Paglia’s commentary, it’s rife with withering humor. My favorite line: “A feminism that cannot admire the bravura under high pressure of the first woman governor of a frontier state isn’t worth a warm bucket of spit.” Do yourself a favor and read it. This woman, like Tammy, is always sure to get you thinking…and laughing.

That was an embarrassing-to-be-a-woman read. University of Chicago should, but won’t, dismiss this person. I left a posting but as it is Sally Quinn’s site it won’t make a flick of a difference.

    Please, may you be right.

Ms. Dowager, er Doniger should look into some of the wonderful new medications that are available out there (like Paxil or Zoloft). I hear they work wonders.

It’s somewhat – no, VERY – amusing to see all these Left-Wing so-called “feminists” exposed for what they really are: puppets. Tools, if you will.

As always with the Left: facism isn’t facism when THEY do it.

What will the Dems do when they loose in November?

    Think Gore-style recounts x1,000.

I am fed up with the rhetoric of class hatred. This Doniger woman has no right to say anything on behalf of working people. She, like many self appointed intellectuals uses the phrase “working class” as shorthand for “stupid hicks who should bow down before their betters”.

Sarah Palin and her family are a working family, who appear to be living honorable lives. Working families exist at all income and education levels, and move between income levels with the ups and downs of life. In America, our income does not define our class, that is a European concept we do not wish to adopt.

One of the key principles of life in America, is that anyone can improve his situation through hard work, honesty, and responsibility. Sarah Palin and her family embody this belief. Sarah has risen to her current position through her own efforts. That speaks to me in ways that Ms. Doniger does not seem to understand.
