Runaway Balloon or Jiffypop? You decide.

What we said on Tammy Radio when no kid was found in balloon. No Xbox for him for at least 10,000 years.

Fort Collins boy who went up in balloon craft found at his home

“He’s been located! He’s alive! He’s at the house!”

Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden interrupted a media update in Fort Collins to announce that the 6-year-old boy thought to be missing in a balloon craft has been found alive at his home.

“Apparently, he’s been there the whole time,” Alderden said. “Hiding in a box a cardboard box, in an attic above the garage.”

Checking the entire house next time might be a good idea, no?

Sounds to me like someone’s parents have some splainin’ to do. At 6 years old, he can hardly be held responsible, if he hasn’t been properly instructed. Like the kid with the Cub Scout knife who was sentenced to reform school for a completely innocent event. A normal reasonable adult would have taken the knife and asked the Mom/Dad to pick it up… had a little chat with them. End of event. What’s that? There aren’t many normal people left in public education? Right. Scary. Anyway, who the heck leaves a flying popcorn bucket alone with unsupervised young children? Nitwits. I’m wondering what consequences the balloon parents may face. That’s a little like leaving a loaded weapon laying around.

This family should have to pay for the rescue efforts.

  3. I was actually wondering that myself today. Who leaves something like this around and accessible to children? Was the helium already in it?…and if not, and the kid actually had to fill it with helium how scary is that…having a kid fooling around with a gas container like that.

The parents will be arrested within a week for staging this as a publicity stunt.

I have to admit that when Tammy brought up bizarre situation, I thought she was joking. I turned on the television and saw this jiffy popcorn style contraption floating in the air. But I could not believe a child could be in that weather balloon and still float that high. It just didn’t make sense to me.

We may never know the whole truth about this… staged or not, but why in the world is the media now trying to destroy this family? Frankly, I blame it all on Matt Drudge, if he hadn’t headlined it, it would’ve stayed a local Denver story.

Usually I don’t like CPS? But where are they in regards to these kids?

“O times! O customs”, as Cicero declared. We have toops in the field whose morale is being played out in ‘passive-agtressive’ games by the White House, another purloining of the Social Security – with a $250 token ‘short-money’ bribe, a group of previously mug-shotted czars in the Executive Offices, five (at least admittedly, five) terror suspects (probables) or non-documented, maybe even visa expired personalities wandering about.
But what was the news? A kid from a mediocre family (which is prone to publicity carnivals) (named: “Falcon” {?}) gets lost in his own cluttered home.
How do we sell ourselves to us – the Hell with the rest of the world with episodes like this and the trash that engage in these family, interfamily, dysfunctional families tragedies.
When you have a chance, listen to Bernie Goldberg, especially when he criticizes Fox.
I don’t jump up and down with Glenn Beck’s jingoism, but: Look America 2009, or as I cite as “Americana” at what you indulge in.

if this was a publicity stunt these parents are loathsome criminals. cruelly use and abuse your child, costs thousands of dollars of public money and get a reality tv show? if one wonders why people show no interest in or realization that their god given freedoms are being smacked out of them it’s because they’re too busy focusing their lives and intellectual energies on watching or trying to be part of a tv show.

but we can’t have gay parents because that’s so wrong…

given morons like these two, kids would be better off raised by lesbian wolves or gay penguins. even most animals attempt to protect their young from harm- a pathetic commentary of the state of humanity.

This balloon thing was absolutely a set-up, these parents have a history of networks notice, when being interviewed, the mom was shaking her head yes to the six year old and he all but let the cat out of the bag with his answers, good acting, it fooled the local authorities, but for the close watcher and a
history of their antics and their financial picture tells the whole story, waste of TV news time and talk shows.
