Why is Orrin Hatch’s new Hannukka song not on the blog?

Here’s Orin Hatch’s Chanukah song and it’s wonderful: [vodpod id=ExternalVideo.906089&w=425&h=350&fv=]

    Tammy,
Thanks so much for your Chanukah greetings. It is much appreciated! And the story you told about the Holocaust survivor was horrific, but so important to tell.

We listened to your show on Friday, and soon afterwards, we lit the first candle of the holiday, at sundown.
(the show ends at 4 pm here in NYC). As I looked at the flickering flame, I thought about one of the underlying themes of the holiday, which is freedom from tyranny, and with all that’s been happening to our country, it occurred to me that for the first time in my life, the word ‘tyranny’ was not just some abstract word from history, but perhaps something that we need to be concerned about. What was it that Ronald Reagan said, about freedom being no more than one generation away from extinction? But, Urkel and his gang will not succeed in transforming our country into some socialist (Marxist?) state. We, The People, will prevail!

I, too, share your sentiments Tammy.

Sorrowfully, you just might want to invoke G-d’s protection along with your blessing of the Jewish people, as anti-Semitism raises its ugly head so unbrazenly [sic?] in:

    Austria: http://tiny.cc/WackoPaliAttacksRabbi
    Moldavia [E.Eur]: http://tiny.cc/OrthoPriestLeadsDestructionOfMenorah779
Just to name a few. But at least on the last one, the Menorah was replaced and is now under police guard.
It is really pathetic for Christians to hate Jews, since they worship a Jewish Messiah as G-d. Yes, a Messiah whom Christian scriptures say is the culmination of ancient-Israeli prophetic tradition. That is ultimately a Jewish prophetic tradition.
    Oy!
