statue-of-liberty-fireworksI just want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. I know we’ve had a pretty rough 2009, but look to the new year as one that waits for us to make a difference. We learned a lot of lessons last year, and many of your fellow Americans who voted for Obama learned a very difficult one. Next year is our time–the emergence of the Independent Conservative and a renewal of a passionate commitment to our nation with an awareness never to take our freedom for granted. Start 2010 with President Washington in mind–let’s honor him with our commitment to retaking our nation. So indeed, Happy New Year, it is an honor and a pleasure to be in this fight with you, and remember, celebrate knowing 2010 is the Year of the Patriot!portwash

Special Elections: It’s not all about November TAMs: A special election for District 72 in CA State Assembly takes place on January 12, 2010.

    Candidates are:
    John MacMurray, the Democratic candidate.
    Chris Norby, the Republican candidate.
    Jane Rands, the Green candidate.

  3. CO2aintpoison says:

C’mon dudes…this special election is for Ted Kennedy’s seat! CQPolitics: “The winner of the Democratic primary is heavily favored to win the general election on Jan. 19 against likely Republican nominee state Sen. Scott Brown.”

The article comments only 300,000 – 500,000 of the more than 4 million registered voted in the primary.

    Tammy,
Thank you for always reminding us of the silver lining in every cloud. 2010 is going to be about taking back the country, and the main event for me in doing that is the Tea Party Convention in Nashville in February. If any one else is interested, the deadline for registering is January 4!

Happy New Year to everyone. Upon reflection, this has not been a good year. In fact, its been terrible. But let us not forget that we still live in a country that gives us the opportunity to chart our own course! We are still free enough to change direction. Evil will not win as long as we stay firm. The truth is on our side. Facts are on our side. REALITY is on our side. We are not Europeans. As Americans our view of the world does not resign us to passive resignation. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

  11. MRFIXIT says:

The most offensive thing in the Heathcare bill is the Reid language that forbids future congresses from repealing or modifiying the bill. That effectively would make the bill, with a 51% pass, stronger than a constitutional ammendment, which can be repealed by another ammendment. There will be a constitutional challenge to this bill, or were all sunk.

Wishing a great and prosperous New Year to all!

2010 the Year of the Patriot; I love it ! I went to Monticello today to visit the home of one of our patriot forefathers, Thomas Jefferson. Amazing what one man can accomplish in his lifetime. Here’s a quote from Thomas Jefferson that fits the mood :

A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high virtues of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation.

Strength in numbers my fellow patriots. God is with those who are just and righteous 🙂

  14. lord-ruler says:

Thomas Jefferson’s description of George Washington.

“His mind was great and powerful … as far as he saw, no judgment was ever sounder. It was slow in operation, being little aided by invention or imagination, but sure in conclusion …

“Perhaps the strongest feature in his character was prudence, never acting until every circumstance, every consideration, was maturely weighed; refraining if he saw doubt, but, when once decided, going through his purpose, whatever obstacles opposed.

“His integrity was the most pure, his justice the most inflexible I have ever known …

“He was, indeed, in every sense of the words, a wise, a good and a great man … On the whole, his character was, in its mass, perfect … it may truly be said, that never did nature and fortune combine more perfectly to make a man great …”

2010: I see visions of conservatives taking over coffeehouses, tea shops, and taverns as we conspire. Rejoice in the fight, and laugh in the liberals’ faces as you quash the slimy career panderers and their enablers in the media. WE’RE NOT AFRAID OF THEM ANYMORE. Happy New Year!

  16. 1elder1 says:

Does the DOW being up for the year (2009) by 19% mean that those who lost 1/2 of their retirement funds are really not down by 50% but by about 30%? Providing they bought stocks etc.
    Happy New Year whatever…..

Happy New Year to all of the TAMs! Thanks for the words of encouragement Tammy!
