You’ve most likely heard about Milwaukee County Board member Peggy West’s remarks that Arizona isn’t on the border so what’s with that SB 1070. She said Arizona was “a ways away from the border” and then said there must already be troops on the Arizona border because she googled and saw Gov. Brewer talking to the President.

It’s reported that West later clarified her remarks. Heh heh of course she knows Arizona is on the border it’s just that the Arizona border isn’t as long as the Texas border. So did she mean Arizona was a ways away from the eastern border of Texas?

County Board Delays Vote on Arizona Boycott

“I did get a passing grade in Geography in high school and in college and I do obviously know that Arizona is on the border,” West said in an interview after today’s meeting.

West claims the point she was trying to make is that because Texas has a much larger border with Mexico, she might feel differently about such a law in that state. “Had Texas come out with the legislation, having the largest border, I think that I would be more receptive to the fact that there was a problem. But having it be Arizona, having it be the second largest boarder [sic] and knowing there are troops on the border in Arizona, it didn’t seem to me that this legislation was particularly necessary at this moment in time,” West said.

As though the comparative length of the border makes it logical to support a boycott of Arizona. If Arizona’s border gets bigger will it then be time? Ms. West certainly didn’t give any thought to the level of violence Arizonans have to live with. Not that that would matter to her either based on another outrageous episode emanating from a Milwaukee County Board meeting.

The Milwaukee County Board just voted to censure one of its members, Lynne De Bruin. Ms. De Bruin released to the public remarks spoken by John Chianelli, administrator of the county’s Behavioral Health Division, at a closed door session. Mr. Chianelli removed male psychiatric patients known to be dangerous from the male ward to the female ward in order to reduce violence in the male ward. The presence of women, he pontificated, “reduces the likelihood of the men being violent”.

Well, maybe not so much after all. Mr. Chianelli was appearing before the County Board to discuss why there was an increasing number of sexual assaults against women at the county facility. Many of the women in the mental health facility are there in the first place because of sexual abuse and assault. Mr. Chianelli said the sexual violence committed against the female patients by the male patients was a “trade-off” in reducing violence in the male ward.

County Board votes to censure Supervisor Lynne De Bruin

“I’m going to be the only Milwaukee County employee punished in any way, shape or form for the people who were raped at” the complex, she said.

Miss Peggy praised Chianelli and voted to censure De Bruin.

Milwaukee Co. Board Vote to Censure De Bruin

No member of the board has been censured for decades. Supervisor Peggy West said it would be hard to get anything done if what was said in closed session could be breached for what West called “some political gain.”

It’s only a political gain to let people know women are being made vulnerable to rape as a trade off?

Maybe she wishes all meetings were closed-door with no remarks coming to the public’s attention although you have to wonder if Peggy would then be able to find her way out.

Are we missing an equally important point of “Why the heck does Milwaukee care, since it is over 1,500 miles away?”

Peggy doesn’t seem too bright. Thanks, Pat, for bringing this other, more troubling controversy to light regarding the shenanigans of the mental health ward.

She took geography in college? I seem to remember doing states and capitals in the 5th grade. Makes you wonder if she can do long division or even recite the alphabet.

You drink a lot (a whole lot, judging by her girth) of Old Milwaukee?

After reading the provided links detailing events over which Peggy West voted to censure one who is much more honorable than herself, I pray she’s infertile. The thought of her someday breeding more like herself is frightening!

Yeah…An obama-zombie who is not near the border of intelligence. Sort of like dumb-bastard; acts like she knows what she is talking about, but sounds like a total buffoon!

this is the heart and soul of why i have nothing but loathing for liberals and their policies- not only are they complete morons- high on nonsensical deeply flawed ideology low on reality- but moral monsters driven by a startlingly pervasive hatred of women.that misogynistic freak chianelli needs to be fired then brought up on charges of aiding and abetting a violent crime, rape . hopefully, he will then go to a jail were he too can experience some free flowing richly deserved male aggression and ‘ love’ as someone’s maytag.

take some of society’s most vulnerable women, those in psychiatric hospitals, and expose them to criminally insane rapists so other males can be safe from male violence- that’s acceptable? maybe to the marquis de sade and ted bundy.and the so called feminists instead of freaking about this are still fixated on abortion as the only issue that defines a feminist or represents equality for women. feminists used to be against rape and violence against women. or something, weren’t they?

criminally violent people who are declared insane should be put in secure jails not in hospitals were they can victimize men or women. period. i find this emotionally devastating. it angers me beyond belief.

trying to save women from being raped is posited as acting out of desire for ‘ political gain’ and boycotting arizona, whatever country it may or may not border, upholding existing federal law isn’t?

Well said thierry!! Everyday I think we can’t sink farther down the rabbit hole, yet here we are —completely in the dark, down this damn hole.

De Bruin was the ONLY one not being political. She was trying to save people, at a personal expense. Peggy and Mr. Chianelli are purely political with the boycott, and by “fixing” a problem that would make them look bad (politically), with an even worse “solution,” but one they never thought would get out publicly, because then they would be hurt politically.

Mr. Chianelli needs to be arrested. Maybe from inside a jail he can help these men be less violent by letting them take their aggressions out on him. Let’s see how he likes being put in with violent men. Maybe then the point will be rammed home so to speak.

In the words of Tammy–Everyone is on crack!!!! God help us all!

    • thierry says:

it’s one thing to be just plain stupid- i’ve come to expect that from.. err.. politicians (or on the la raza tip is the preferred term ‘community organizer’?) but that an apparently genetic female, who worked in ‘ human services'( whatever the hell that’s suppose to mean) with 3 daughters covered up for let alone praised a man providing escape proof pens full of female victims for violent male rapists then castigated the woman who tried to bring this criminal situation to light…

if it was my loved one or daughter who was raped on one of those wards ,aided and abetted and covered up by the likes of the pieces of crap on this county board, i’d do more than bite.

  10. Maynard says:

Translation of Supervisor West’s clarification: “Okay, so maybe I’m stupid. But I’ll bet my career that you’re even stupider than I am.” It’s sad that she’s likely to win that bet.

  11. DianeRoberts says:

I would classify Peggy as a certified moron. It’s hard to believe this woman is a County Supervisor? She’s not an intelligent woman. Poor woman should go back to school and try to retain something she might have learned many years ago. Duh!

For the morons who support boycotting Arizona GTHO of America. WTH is wrong with a Governor who really is taking her job seriously?

She’s not like the Anti-American Treasonous Fraud in the WH. Thank God the fraud will be voted out in 2012.

    God Bless America!

        No questions, I concur 🙂

In the eighties it was Cryptosporidium (should that be capitalized?) The nineties gave us Jeffrey Dahmer. And now the twenty-first century has rolled out Peggy West!

So go the claims to fame of this area. I am a Milwaukee County resident, something that doesn’t always necessarily fill me with pride. A moment like this particular quote is one of those. What a way for a region to gain national attention!

A couple of things occurred to me as I read her ‘response’. First, in order to be able to post a comment here, either she is, or she knows someone who is a TAM member. Or prehaps she turns the expense of her membership in for reimbursement from Milwaukee County.

Second, if she, or her minions are taking the time to respond to this thread, there must be a lot of ‘splainin’ to do’ considering how this thing went viral! I would think she would be defending her geography deficiency to more friendly sites than this, to someone who cared where her degree is from.

Third, ‘a degree from Milwaukee Area Techincal College’? Ah yes, one of the finest tw0-year vocational institutions in the area. Not exactly a Harvard MBA. You go to MATC if it is not your intention to advance very far in your chosen field, or go get the core courses and then transfer to a uiversity and get a four-year degree. And Human Service? What exactly is that the new euphemism for?

The area of the county that she represents is predominantly Hispanic, and therefore presumably Democratic. So it’s unlikely she will be held accountable for a comment like this by her consituents. The road to Supervisorship on the Milwaukee County Board is not a real uphill battle. No big campaign warchest required. Little, if any opposition, normally. Just throw up a few yard signs, and you’re probably in. Worked well for this – another community organizer.

On another, but not totally unrelated topic, go to

or google ‘Biden in Milwaukee’ to see ‘biteme’ having a ‘Joe the Plummer’ moment at a Milwaukee Frozen Custard (not ice cream) stand!

If Peggy and others like her had intellect they’d know the United States of America could become the fifty-eighth Muslim State.

And, if people like this young woman who is apparently ‘out to lunch’ stays out of touch with reality..this could become a reality!

Too many Piggy’s ooopppsss Peggy’s voted for the arrogant, immature fraud who does have an Anti-American agenda.

God Bless America and Our Beloved Troops.
