Rightwing conspiracy theorists were arguably disappointed this week with the release of the long-concealed birth certificate. Without much fanfare, the leftwing conspiracy theorists had a disappointment too. The Second Court of Appeals dismissed April Gallop’s case in which she claimed her and her child’s constitutional rights were violated when Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and others in the Bush administration—

…caused the September 11, 2001 attacks “in order to create a political atmosphere in which they could pursue domestic and international policy objectives and to conceal the misallocation of $2.3 trillion in Congressional appropriations…

Ms. Gallop was working in the Pentagon on 9/11. Her infant child was also on the premises.

The Court concluded Ms. Gallop’s complaint—-

…hypothesizes a fantastical alternative history to the widely accepted account of the “explosion” that injured Gallop and killed hundreds of other men and women inside the Pentagon…

Not only was the case dismissed and the appeal lost, the Court warns it may impose sanctions on Ms. Gallop for filing a frivolous lawsuit. What else would the 9/11 truthers expect considering one of the judges is a cousin of George W. Bush?

Gallop claims there was no airplane involved in the Pentagon explosion. Either explosives were planted by you know who or they arranged to have a missile fired at the Pentagon. The only plausible claim she makes is that she sustained lasting head and brain injuries in the explosion.

A group calling itself the Center For 9/11 Justice is supporting Ms. Gallop’s allegations. The appeal was lost, but the group might yet win something. I suggest they submit the following in a Worst Opening Paragraph contest. It’s a sure winner.

A response to Judge Chin’s decision. (Requires document reader such as Open Office)

When April Gallop sat down at her desk at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, with her two-month old baby son, Elisha, in his basket beside her, she was as far from conceiving of evil at the highest levels of American Government as was Federal District Court Judge Denny Chin when he asked plaintiff’s counsel at the pre-motion conference if this lawsuit was filed in good faith. Unfortunately, in spite of reading 65 pages of affidavits appended to our Response to the Motion to Dismiss, all of which he chose to ignore, he was still no closer to that conception than when the suit began. He granted the motion to dismiss because in his view, the claims made there were frivolous and based on “cynical delusion and fantasy.” When those words were written, the court embraced with energy a manifest historical ignorance, blindness to a fundamental human impulse which concedes the attraction of evil to power, and a supreme denial, vast in scope and scale, fortified and impregnable.

Obviously there are a lot of head and brain injuries amongst the Left.
