This is a social club like the Italian mafia is a “social club.” Guns, bombs and drugs all part of the scheme. Obviously, another example of how we don’t need that border wall. These arrests simply confirm what we’ve been seeing for yours–alliances between Mexican and Middle Eastern gangs. Hamas, Hezbollah and al-Qaida have been running the drug scene in central America for years, and Middle Eastern “Other Than Mexicans” have been been using the open southern border to sneak into this country, with the aid of Mexican drug cartels, certainly since 9/11.

This is a nation wide problem, so keep in mind these arrests were in one city in Southern California and are the tip of the iceberg. When is the Fed going to get serious about this? Or perhaps now everyone in this country illegally will just become “students.”

60 arrested, bombs and drugs seized as part of California crime probe

Sixty people are under arrest for their role in a Southern California crime alliance between members of an Iraqi social club and a Mexican drug cartel that involved the illicit sale of drugs, guns and bombs, police said Thursday.

Since the beginning of “Operation Shadowbox” in January, officers from the El Cajon police department and Drug Enforcement Administration bought “large amounts of narcotics, pharmaceuticals, firearms and improvised explosive devices,” El Cajon Police Chief Pat Sprecco said in a press release.

A DEA operative was shown a hand grenade and told it could be purchased, purportedly from a Mexican military source, said Sprecco. In addition, authorities seized more than 13 pounds of methamphetamine, 3,500 pounds of marijuana, $630,000 in U.S. cash, three luxury cars, four improvised explosive devices and 34 firearms…

“These crimes have been attributed primarily to Iraqi organized crime elements, and as this investigation has discovered, the Sinaloa Cartel, a Mexico-based drug trafficking organization,” said the chief…

The Iraqi club had ties to the “Chaldean Organized Crime Syndicate,” which has its roots in Michigan in the 1980s and has ties to Sinaloa and the “Mexican Mafia,” according to Sprecco.

The recovery of explosives by DEA is particularly alarming as security across the country is heightened in preparation for the 10-year anniversary of 9/11.

One of the Iraqi’s immigrants told an undercover DEA agent that they were able to obtain more grenades from the Mexican Military personnel.
