Finally, after almost 11 1/2 years we’re putting the top on the Freedom Tower in New York. I’ve seen the new building up close and it is beautiful. It will be nice to have this finished. Thanks to everyone involved in making this building happen, and God bless the souls of those taken from us on September 11, 2001, and the families forever missing their loved ones. For all of the American family, God bless us, everyone!

My son and I will be taking a bite outta the Big Apple late next month for a 3 day jaunt. Haven’t been in the City since just before 9/11 (July, 2001). So looking forward to paying my respects at the Memorial, visiting museums, Statue of Liberty, etc… My son was 22 months when we were there last time and he says he doesn’t remember. Well, I have pictures to prove it. 🙂

Excellent.
Speaking of pics; if you click on the Newswire Reuters story re no early warning to U.S. from Israel about bombing Syria, there is Reuters pics of the week to the side. http://blogs.reuters.com/fullfocus/2013/05/03/photos-of-the-week-15/#a=1
Great, great, pic of NYC in evening. Also neat pic of dancers warming up to audition to be a Rockette.
I am so excited to learn that inside the spire was built in my hometown 2 miles from where I live !! It was announced in the Sunday paper as a little piece of Auburn NY to light up the skyline in Manhattan.”It looks like a birdhouse the size of a car” The parts were put together atop a gear that will fully rotate about once per minute reflecting a light from a beacon to be seen miles away. So proud.
