logic

It must be the recent heat wave. Maybe Libs are hypersensitive to the heat. I don’t know how else to account for two totally absurd, off-the-wall moral equivalences that popped up on my radar screen this weekend.

Not that I’m complaining; these two new ones are in mint condition, and are  great additions to my ever-growing collection of idiot-Lib-illogical-moral-equivalence pronouncements.

The first one is from Jimmah, our 2nd most incompetent POTUS.

And, apparently, also the dumbest. Ever.

(But, what else can we expect from someone who wrote a book entitled: “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid”)

via The Washington Times: Jimmy Carter compares Catholic Church to Islam on women’s rights

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter  says religious leaders, including those in Christianity and Islam, share the  blame for mistreatment of women across the world.

The  human rights activist said Friday religious authorities perpetuate  misguided doctrines of male superiority, from the Catholic  Church  forbidding women from becoming priests to some African cultures   mutilating the genitals of young girls….

The 39th president is hosting representatives from 15 countries at The Carter Center, the human rights organization he launched in 1982  after leaving the White House….

Nations represented at the Carter conference include Afghanistan, Botswana, Egypt, Iraq, Malaysia, Nigeria, Senegal and  the Sudan. Carter mentioned widespread  oppression in many of nations where iterations of  Islam dominate, but also had  criticism for the developed Western world  where Christianity is the strongest  cultural influence….

He  noted that women in Saudi Arabia can’t drive or vote. Girls in some   cultures are forced to marry before they are 10 years old and women in  the  United States, he said, are paid about 70 percent of what men earn  for the same  work….

Jimmy Carter studied nuclear physics in graduate school.

Well, I guess education can’t “fix stupid.”

Speaking of education, here is the other “winner” of a moral equivalence, from a university professor.

via The Washington Times: Ariz. professor compares climate change to slavery

A geoscience professor and co-director of the  Institute  of the Environment at the University of Arizona stated  Wednesday that President Abraham  Lincoln would have taken action to stop  climate change, since it’s the “moral issue of our time.”

“Reading  more about Lincoln now – his  approach to slavery  makes me sure he would  move on stop CC because it is moral  issue of our  time,” Jonathan Overpeck,  or “Peck” as he prefers to be called, tweeted  yesterday afternoon….

According  to his bio, Mr. Peck has published more than 160  papers in climate  and  the environmental sciences and served as a  coordinating lead author for   the Nobel Prize-winning UN  Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)  Fourth Assessment  (2007).

There seems to be no end in sight this week from the heat wave.

Or from Leftist lunacy.

My first thought was wondering if Jimmy Carter perhaps has a ghost writer. I wondered if he really aligned the ordination of women in the Catholic Church & the physical treatment of women in some cultures as being in the same conversation? So,
I went to YouTube to see if he is in fact still out there verbalizing his “Wisdom”…
Now I know, Jimmy Carter is still out there. Paula Deen trusts his advice…. Our lives will never be boring in this country. There will always be other view points that will cause us to stop, ponder, & work on our communication of clarifying our
positions. Let us pray that we will always retain the 1st Amendment. Let us always strive to communicate in the thought provoking way “Our Shifra” does so eloquently!

Limited government was intended to protect us from the aforementioned lunatics. Sadly, these clowns are dangerous in our post-constitutional era.

Another good one here, Shifra. If I’m not mistaken, aren’t all these countries Muslim? Carter has to make a comparison where there is no comparison. He probably thought he would get some shoes thrown his way if he only spoke the truth about how women are treated in these countries. They can’t be the only ones who look bad, Christianity is bad too. As a Christian woman, I’m offended by him and his statement. OBummer is *definitely* the worst Pres, but Jimmah is *most definitely* the dumbest. Wow.

Did Mr. Peck not get the memo that the former “global warming”, current “climate change” numbers were cooked, made up, they lied? Not one phone call was made while he wrote his 160 papers to tell him forget about it. Sad.

Now now Kitten, no fair picking apart the “peanut farmer’s” logic… That man makes Georgians cringe. Makes me sometimes neglect to tell people I was born there.

I am sure Mr. Peck knows quite well that the numbers were cooked, being part of the 4th assessment. Also, he was one of the “masterminds” behind minimizing the Medieval Warming Period, which was about 500yrs of temperatures higher than those today and so much less CO2 emission as to kill ACC (Anthropogenic Climate Change).

      Damn the moonbats.
For an appropriate response to a moonbat, I suggest looking for the song Rainbow Warrior by Tyr, then look at why the song was written and who for.

      • Kitten says:

Cern, do enlighten me. As this group is not from America, I can only surmise the song relates to the fraud that is climate change and its effect on the environment?

        • Cernunnos81 says:

Actually, it was written as a rebuttal to “Captain” Paul Watson trying to tell the people of the Faroe Islands that they were backwards barbaric savages because they harvest Pilot whales every year as they migrate through the area of the Faroes. The Faroes are incredibly limited as to land area and they cannot support herds of animals and farms large enough to support the human population. So, literally, for centuries they have harvested Pilot whales to supplement their food supplies. The islands are balanced as to resources and it is far cheaper for them to hunt the Pilot whales than it is for them to attempt to import foodstuffs. Of course the Anti-Whaling/Vegan/Animal Rights nuts think they’re the worst people on the planet. Tyr (pronounced Too-eer) are from the Faroes and decided to ask the “Captain” why he felt it was his place to tell their people how they should live. Thus “Rainbow Warrior”. The “Captain” being the “Rusty Old Man” in the lyrics.

I Love these guys. At times their lyrics can be a bit rough edged toward Christianity, but they are of that Norse vein, still rankling at the forced conversion of the Scandinavians these many centuries later. Their general music tends to be melodic metal celebrating Norse myth and folk songs from the days of the Viking raiders, through the Norse traders. Sadly a lot of people fail to make the distinction between the ancient Norse culture and the Nazis/Fascists who stole symbols from the Norse culture and many others for their own twisted ends.
