Wow: Just like the Trump rally in Minnesota…NOT

Last night @DevalPatrick addressed a nearly empty hall of @nvdems. The people who stayed liked him, they said they wished he had run from the beginning. pic.twitter.com/NEX3TWPIRF

2008, Obama wins Nevada by 12 pts.
2012, Obama wins by 6 pts.
2016, Hillary wins by 2 pts.
2020, Trump wins?
Be nice if there were a good Republican infrastructure in Nevada. Indications are, there isn’t.
Reminder; This spring, Nevada’s Democrat Governor vetoed the bill which would give its Electoral College votes to the Popular Vote winner. So, we should be nice to him. He may become Democrat Persona non Grata next year.
Thinking more about the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC), I have a constitutional concern over a possibility. Most of the States in the Compact are solidly Democrat, but a few could go Republican, Colorado, New Mexico, Delaware, Vermont, maybe some others. What if Trump wins close electorally and the popular vote narrowly. Then New York, Calif., and Illinois do a recount which finds thousands of new Democrat votes and switches popular vote to the Democrat candidate and that switches the Electoral Vote to the Democrat by States like Vermont, etc. switching.
I consider that possibility to be unconstitutional such that I think the Compact should be canceled.
Think Republican legal team should be ready for possibility.
Apology for my obsession here.
As is today, Trump has to campaign in Nevada to flip it. If it were member of compact, he would campaign in our big cities, LA, NY, etc., and not Nevada.
Put another way, if Wisconsin was a compact member, the campaign strategy would be to Not campaign in Wisconsin. This is reason why Gov. vetoed.
