Gwen Ifill claims to be a journalist.
Strange, I thought journalists were supposed to be non-partisan.
This is a woman who moderated the 2008 vice-presidential debate, as she was putting the finishing touches on her homage to President Selfie Stick Obama, ‘Politics and Race In the Age of Obama.’
And yesterday, Ifill was so delighted that the Iran deal passed, and she mocked Netanyahu in a tweet.
I’m not sure which was more shameful and disgusting, her original tweet, or her non-apology ‘explanation’ of her tweet.
Via Townhall:
PBS journalist Gwen Ifill isn’t even trying to hide her cheerleading for the Obama administration. After the president gained the 34th and final vote needed to secure his nuclear negotiation with Iran Wednesday, Ifill posted a simple message for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on her Twitter account….
Take that, Bibi. https://t.co/V9Gn9vP6xN

Twitter exploded with comments:
@gwenifill Tweeting propaganda at a guy whose country is threatened with nuclear obliteration by a murderous regime? You tell him, girl!
— Angela Morabito (@Bear2theRight) September 2, 2015
@gwenifill I'm puzzled at the joy of sticking it to our allies. 😐@TheIranDeal

@gwenifill @TheIranDeal wow, the hateful, elitist, antisemitic ignorance of the progressive left, in 1 tweet.
— Conservative Monkey (@MiscAlaynieous) September 2, 2015
And here is her ‘explanation’ of the tweet:
every now and then, you inadvertently poke twitter in the eye. and it never disappoints.
— gwen ifill (@gwenifill) September 2, 2015
@gwenifill Come on. You're smarter than that. Your tweet was classless (being polite). Just own it and fix it.
— Act for Israel (@ActForIsrael) September 2, 2015
Fair question @ActForIsrael : I was RT'ing a @TheIranDeal tweet. Should have been clearer that it was their argument, not mine.

Partisan hack activist. A retweet that was neutral would have had comment like, Iran Deal assured not Take that, Bibi. Her comment was based on the original tweet with Bibi’s bomb cartoon that he used in briefings, empty. The fact that Obama admin. tweets that is yes, an infantile nyah nyah stick in the eye to Bibi (aside from being massively wrong). But a real journalist would have stuck to the object storyline not Greek chorus amplify the snark that it was delivered with.
For argument’s sake, if you grant that she was intentionally trying to retweet the snark not the story, that’s not better. That’s treating the story as a game between opposition political parties, eg, which party wins which party loses tune in!; instead of reporting on what does this mean for people first and foremost. Legacy media is happy to cover events as a game between Partys, the farther away from the effect on the little people the better.

Who is surprised? Just another smug Obama cult media pissant.

Thanks for posting this, dennisl59.
Has to be some kind of comforting herd mentality to have such strong blind faith in an administration with a track record of deceit and an apparent moral deficit.
Herd, yes, I believe it is so. For me, I prefer the pack.
The Smug Grin of Gwen–a No-Win.
The Awful Eyefull still Towers amongst the small end egg crackers of Lilliput. She’s not smart; she’s not clever; she’s certainly not, ah, fetching; and she’s not a journalist.
Love it!
