Recent reports that Obamacare will result in the loss of 800,000 jobs are misleading and Media Matters wants to point out the truth. Those 800,000 workers will voluntarily choose not to work because health care will cost less or even be free for them courtesy of the government. In other words, those jobs won’t be killed, just the incentive to work.
Nancy Pelosi expected it. Pelosi’s Pampered Artists
The millions of people who work to pay all their bills can pick up the tab.
800,000 Fewer Workers
‘The freedom to choose not to get a job’
Speaking Thursday before the House Budget Committee, the Congressional Budget Office director estimated that ObamaCare will cause the labor force to shrink by about half a percentage point by the end of the next decade. That isn’t the same as claiming that there will be 800,000 fewer jobs available, but rather, as Mr. Elmendorf said, that the law will reduce “the propensity to work.” As with any other government subsidy, people receiving “free” health care won’t have as much incentive to search for a job or work full time.
As these liabilities consume an ever-larger share of private wealth, the overall economy will stagnate and there will be many fewer new jobs, much as Europe has experienced as its welfare states have expanded. The real danger is that such welfare-state obligations lead to a high structural jobless rate along with a vast increase in government dependency.
Obummercare will result in more Americans becoming ‘artists’ whether they choose it or not.

OBAMAARE IS A LOOTING MECHANISM. Health has nothing to do with it. People will die. I guess you can call corpses freeloaders.

Pat pointed out the Stossel article, which referenced the Rachel Maddow interview of Pelosi.
That’s peachy. A few of us have to keep our day jobs in order to pay for wannabe artists and photographers who are busy finding themselves, and they need a check from Uncle Sugar to do it. But who gets to decide who has to keep dragging their ass to the office, and who gets the check? Good thing angels like Pelosi run the show, and control whose pocket gets picked and who gains, or who lives and who dies.
