Pelosi: Four U.S. Prisoners Should Not Have Been Released As Nuke Deal Pre-Condition
by Shifra on July 17, 2015Not. Kidding. This has got to be one of the most craven things Pelosi has uttered (and there are so many). Via CNS News: ….At a Capitol Hill press conference, CNSNews.com asked Rep. Pelosi, “Do you think the four American hostages being held in Iran should have been released as a pre-condition to any deal made about Iran’s nuclear program?” Pelosi answered: “No, no. It would have been good. But it’s just, no, this is a nuclear deal. This is a nuclear agreement. And I think that we have to–I appreciate the fact that since we have a nuclear negotiation and now we have a nuclear agreement that a much brighter light is being shone on the prisoners of conscience...

Kerry: $100 Billion To Iran No Big Deal
by Pat_S on July 16, 2015Well, if you’re with the U.S.government of course $100 billion is piffling. John Kerry was asked during a recent BBC interview if the $100 billion coming Iran’s way might contribute to violence. Kerry dismissed the notion by pointing out that Iran has plenty of domestic things to take care of like improving people’s lives so there really won’t be much left over from the $100 billion for violence. (After all, it’s only $100 billion.) Oh, maybe something left over for violence, but not enough to make a difference. Besides all the mischief Iran is involved with now doesn’t really cost anything so what’s the difference? Video: Iran Negotiators Punked… “Who’s Your Favorite Political Prisoner?”
by Shifra on July 10, 2015Very funny… and upsetting. My fav moment: U.S. Chief Negotiator Wendy Sherman drops her handbag: @ 1:37 Via Weekly Standard: David Keyes, executive director of a group called “Advancing Human Rights” is at it again. This time in Vienna. Keyes, who has previously punked the Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif in New York, and threw a gay party at National Harbor during a Saudi fair to protest the Saudi government’s treatment of gays, this time took his unique brand of protest to Iranian and U.S. diplomats as time is winding down on a controversial nuclear agreement….

Treasury Secretary: Don’t Worry, Most Of Money We Give Iran Won’t Fund Terror
by Shifra on May 5, 2015Whew, what a relief! Looks like we really dodged a bullet with this Iran “peace deal” thing. So, not to worry: We give Iran $50B as a “signing bonus,” they only use a “little bit” of the money to sponsor terrorism around the world. Via IJ Review: Obama Cabinet Official: ‘Most’ of the Relief Money to Iran Won’t Fund Terrorism Treasury Secretary Jack Lew acknowledged that large sums of money will be given to Iran as part of the sanctions relief, adding that “most” of it won’t directly fund terrorist operations in the Middle East…. During Lew’s remarks, he said that Iran will be under “enormous pressure” to improve its domestic economy, adding that funding terrorism is a “relatively small”...

Outrageous: Iran Wins U.N. Post For ‘Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women’
by Shifra on April 14, 2015Let’s see: In Iran, women are subject to public execution by stoning after being convicted for ‘adultery.’ Men can marry non-Islamic women, but women cannot marry non-Islamic men. A woman can get a divorce only under extreme conditions; a man can divorce a wife without cause. There are no laws against domestic abuse. A man’s son inherits twice as much as his daughter. Yes, Iran sounds like a perfect choice: Via CNS: UN Gives Iran Leadership Post in Agency for ‘Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women’ With little fanfare, a U.N. body has given Iran seats on several entities, including one dealing with women’s empowerment, another with children, a third with narcotics and a fourth with crime prevention and criminal...

White House Mocks Netanyahu’s 2012 U.N. Speech On Twitter
by Shifra on April 9, 2015Stay classy, Obama Regime. Via The Hill: White House mocks Netanyahu on Twitter Worth sharing: Here's how the #IranDeal would shut down Iran's pathway to a nuclear weapon → http://t.co/BWuabs0TNz pic.twitter.com/8aYQi2KEgq — The White House (@WhiteHouse) April 8, 2015 The White House on Wednesday took a shot at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by using a cartoon bomb to defend its nuclear deal with Iran. The bomb diagram attached to a White House tweet looked a lot like a chart used by Netanyahu during a 2012 speech to the United Nations General Assembly urging the U.S. and other world powers to set an ultimatum to stop Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. Using a marker, Netanyahu drew a red line...

CBS News: Iranian ‘Death To America’ Chant ‘More Out Of Habit Than Conviction’
by Shifra on April 7, 2015See, Iranian Mullahs don’t really mean “Death to America” when they scream “Death to America.” Wait, there’s more: While for Israel, and the rest of the world, it’s about Iran getting nukes, for Iran…it’s about ending their isolation from the rest of the world. And, Iran says it never wanted nuclear weapons… this is about economics, ending the crippling sanctions. This is news? Sounds more like propaganda for Obama’s Iran deal. With idiocy like this, no wonder a recent Quinnipiac poll showed Fox News is the most trusted in news coverage. Does Chris Matthews *Like* The Idea Of Israel Fearing Iran?
by Shifra on April 3, 2015Noted Obamabot Chris Matthews “weighs in” about Iran…and he makes no sense. According to Matthews, Israel opposes the U.S.-Iran deal because Iran’s economy would flourish. So, it’s really not about Israel’s survival…but it’s about money? #Headshake Via Breitbart: Matthews: Maybe Israel Should ‘Fear’ Post-Deal ‘Economically Potent’ Iran MSNBC’s “Hardball” host Chris Matthews said that Israel maybe “should fear” an “economically potent” Iran because that’s going to arise as a result of our deal with Iran on Thursday’s “MSNBC Live.” “Israel doesn’t have the exact same foreign policy we do, nor does Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia was saying today they don’t want us to — going back to a friendship of any kind with the Iranians. Well, of course they don’t....

Video: Netanyahu Responds to Hostile White House Tweet
by Shifra on March 9, 2015Kudos to PM Benjamin Netanyahu for continuing to praise Obama in the face of outrageous WH Bibi-bashing. And shame on our thin-skinned POTUS, who could have put on his “big-boy pants” and met with Netanyahu. Instead, he chose to sulk, and he encouraged Dems to boycott the speech. Video: Susan Rice Speech At Pro-Israel Group Draws Cheers For Policies She Opposes
by Shifra on March 4, 2015The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a pro-Israel lobbying group, meets annually in Washington DC. Every year, Obama speaks at the event. Until now. On Monday, Obama was “busy.” (Or, as TAM Rob W. suggested in the TAM chat room, the meeting probably interfered with his tee time.) So, POTUS sent Samantha Powers and Susan Rice. Here is part of Susan Rice’s speech. And, in light of Netanyahu’s speech yesterday, her points sound naïve, illogical, and dangerous. But the look on her face when the crowd cheers for her opposing policies? Priceless 🙂 Via HotAir: Watch: Susan Rice cheered by AIPAC… for policies the administration opposes
