Blah Blah Alert==> Hillary Gives A ‘Tough Speech’ On Iran
by Shifra on May 21, 2014Last week, Hillary Clinton gave a speech to the American Jewish Committee. It was an incredible speech. Incredibly full of pandering platitudes, clichés, and confusing/contradictory sentences. Highlights…er…low points of the speech, via Times of Israel: Hillary Clinton talks tough on Iran at Jewish conference (with commentary by yours truly) ….Clinton, in a plenary address at the American Jewish Committee’s Global Forum, took credit for setting up a tough sanctions regime on Tehran and laying the groundwork for the current negotiations over a comprehensive nuclear agreement. “When I left, we were in a position to really explore if we had set the table well enough,” Clinton said, recounting the work done between 2008 and 2012 in strengthening the sanctions regime, “revitalizing”...

Why Did Obama Tell Netanyahu To Stop Killing Iranian Nuclear Scientists?
by Shifra on March 21, 2014In a recent post, Maynard asked, “Whose side is Obama on?” And now, with Obama telling Israel that they have got to stop killing Iranian nuclear scientists, the question is even more relevant. Via Israel National News: Report: US Pressures Israel, ‘Stop Killing Iranian Scientists’ President Barack Obama will not only pressure Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to accept the US framework for peace – but also to stop intervening in preventing a nuclear Iran…. CBS radio broadcaster Dan Raviv told listeners…that Obama will urge Netanyahu…for Israel to stop “assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists,” according to the daily. Raviv allegedly made the discovery while researching an upcoming book, and noted that Israeli intelligence agencies have been under immense pressure from the Obama...

Obamacare, Israel, and Obama’s Lies As Political Tools
by Shifra on November 19, 2013Two weeks ago, Caroline Glick, an editor at the Jerusalem Post, wrote the following: via The Jerusalem Post: Obamacare’s Victims and Israel US President Barack Obama views lies as legitimate political tools. He uses lies strategically to accomplish through mendacity what he could never achieve through honest means. Obama lies in both domestic and foreign policy. On the domestic front, despite Obama’s repeated promises that Obamacare would not threaten anyone’s existing health insurance policies, over the past two weeks, millions Americans have received notices from their health insurance companies that their policies have been canceled because they don’t abide by Obamacare’s requirements…. Obama’s mendacity is not limited to domestic policy. It operates in foreign affairs as well…. As was...

Both Obama & Ahmadinejad Liken Israel’s Concern About a Nuclear Iran to “Noise”
by Tammy on September 24, 2012There were lots of revelation from Obama on last night’s “60 Minutes,” including this gem that not only exposes his contempt for Israel, but also exactly how detached he is. Even more disturbing is the fact that our president and the tyrant of a terrorist-supporting nation which has vowed to “wipe Israel off the map” are using the same language to dismiss Israel’s concern about total annihilation. Now check this out. Via Weekly Standard, from a Washington Post story, HT to Romney camp’s Andrea Saul. IGNATIUS: “I want to ask as my first question the one every citizen of the world would like to ask today: What is the chance of a war in Iran that would result from an...

Ted Turner, Famous Pothead, Goes Off The Deep End, Wants US & Israel To Disarm
by Tammy on May 4, 2012Two things going on here--the height of moral equivalency and regular pot use. What else could explain this rambling, nonsensical drivel? PIERS MORGAN: What would you do about Iran if you were the American President? TED TURNER: Well, first of all, I believe in total nuclear disarmament. That's the only way we're ever going to get there. We all got to play by the same set of rules...

Israel Considers Pre-Emptive Attack On Iran
by Tammy on November 2, 2011I would hope so. Their, and our, very existence relies upon it. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to rally support in his cabinet for an attack on Iran, according to government sources. The country’s defence minister Ehud Barak and the foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman are said to be among those backing a pre-emptive strike to neutralise Iran’s nuclear ambitions. But a narrow majority of ministers currently oppose the move, which could trigger a wave of regional retaliation. The debate over possible Israeli military action has reached fever pitch in recent days with newspaper leader columns discussing the benefits and dangers of hitting Iran. Mr Lieberman responded to the reports of a push to gain cabinet approval by saying...

Biting Sanctions: Rare, Medium, Not Well Done
by Pat_S on May 11, 2010A post by Pat Is this the U.N. Security Council’s idea of biting sanctions against Iran? Last week the Iranians held a dinner party that only in the sugar coated world of diplomacy had any meat. The U.S. normally doesn’t attend Iranian dinners. This time we sent a low level Wolff. The diplomatic delicacies included Chinese and franks. Even though we can smell the Iranians are preparing a mushroom cloud for a future occasion, sanctions were not on the table at this party. You can bet nothing was Kosher. If you can swallow it, these are the reasons the dinner satiated the already engorged diplomats: “We see this as an opportunity for Iran to show the council that they’re prepared...

Obama’s Crippling Iran Policy
by Pat_S on February 24, 2010A post by Pat Today Hillary Clinton spoke before Congress and reiterated a call for crippling sanctions against Iran. The Obama ‘extended hand’ approach is the utter failure every sane person knew it would be. Rather than admit failure, Hillary recently pointed to the obvious that Iran shows signs of being a dictatorship. That revelation was to give a CYA for the administration to pretend it wasn’t their idiotic policy that failed. Oh shucks, what would have worked with the peace-loving mullahs doesn’t have such a bright future with that nasty Republican Guard. Clinton probably knew better all along but had to defend the extended hand policy. She made brave attempts to convince everyone it was a great accomplishment that...

Shazam! Iran is becoming a military dictatorship.
by Pat_S on February 15, 2010A post by Pat On her way to visiting Saudi Arabia, Hillary Clinton informed the world Iran is becoming a military dictatorship. Dang! Here we had such great expectations about having civilized talks to amicably settle differences on things like building nuclear weapons to kill Jews. Such a disappointing turn of affairs. This is not the kind of change we were hoping for. Now we’ll have to have some more meetings and ask China if this new development changes their minds about sanctions.

Disastrous Leadership
by Pat_S on January 16, 2010A post by Pat Liberals endlessly congratulate themselves for their compassion. They are forever in search of a thirsty man in order to hold a cup of water to his lips, taking along their camera. President Obama is making a spectacle of himself trying to be in the spotlight in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti. Part of it is the post-Katrina template of being seen as on-the-job after President Bush was unfairly branded as uncaring and bungling. It may also be an attempt to boost Obama’s numbers or, ahem, a distraction from his political difficulties with the health care bill. I’m not suggesting the President is entirely opportunistic. It is right for a U.S. President to speak up...

Krauthammer: Obama’s Response to Iran Uprising “Missing History”
by Pat_S on December 28, 2009A post by Pat Charles Krauthammer critiques the President’s remarks about the Iran uprising. Flaccid words. Meaningless words. This is a revolution in the streets. Revolutions happen quickly. There is a moment here in which if the thugs in the street who are shooting in the crowds stop shooting, it’s over and the regime will fall. The courage of the demonstrators and the boldness isn’t only a demonstration of courage, it is a indication of a shift in the balance of power. The regime is weakening. This is a hinge of history. Everything in the region will change if the regime is to change. Obama ought to be strong out there and saying to the illegitimate government, we stand shoulder...

Iran – Protests expanding to other cities
by Pat_S on December 27, 2009A post by Pat Protests in Iran have spread beyond Tehran. The opposition supporters claim nine people have been killed so far including the nephew of opposition leader Mousavi. The Iran press has finally admitted that four protesters were killed. Aljezeera reported on the protests earlier. Hamid Dubashi, professor of Iran Studies at Columbia University, says the momentum is building and the Iranian government is facing an uncontrollable uprising. The momentum has been building consistently. The class base of the movement is expanding. Labor organizations, women’s organizations, university students, etc., they are all expanding and it is spilling into the other cities. This is a major civil rights uprising and the government is now acting as a porcupine with all...
