The UN wants to tax the world. Well, Americans at least, you global warmers, you.
As we all know, every scheme of the left, most of which involve declarations of some sort of monumental disaster or impending doom, are really nothing more than excuses for bigger government and less individual freedom. Global warming is one of those fabricated issues that can be defined however they like, is designed to put the blame on humans, and requires, of course monumental global control by a few elite who declare themselves the ones who will save the Earth from the scourge of humanity. A perfect storm of Malignant Narcissism and it’s mutant child, Leftist Politics.
That agenda was first made perfectly clear when the UN met and announced it needed a bigger, more powerful wing dedicated to fighting “Global Warming.” Now, its revealed that this human scourge of planet destruction is the perfect excuse for the new global tax which the Leftist bureaucrats at the UN have been talking about for years. Yes, one of the most corrupt, depraved entities on Earth now wants to tax you as it continues to undermine this nation and rape children around the world.
Climate Panel Recommends Global Temperature Ceiling, Carbon Tax
A group of 18 scientists from 11 countries is calling on the international community to act quickly to prevent catastrophic climate change.
In a report requested by the United Nations and partially paid for by the privately funded U.N. Foundation, the panel warns that any delay could lead to a dangerous rise in sea levels, increasingly turbulent weather, droughts and disease. [And cats will be sleeping with dogs, celebrities will stop wearing underwear, and Disneyland will close the Haunted Mansion forever!–ed.]…
The panel’s recommendations include a series of steps to cut the rate at which temperatures are rising. Chief among them are a global agreement on an acceptable ceiling for temperature rise and finding ways of adapting to cope with the damage already done.
Holdren, however, says even these measure will achieve very little unless they are accompanied by a global tax on greenhouse gas emissions. “We don’t think ultimately society will get it right in terms of the full range and scope of activities needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, until there is an additional incentive in the form of a price on greenhouse gas emissions, either through a carbon tax or a cap and trade approach,” he said.
A group of 18 scientists indeed. They’re simply moving what the UN in general has been working for years. And they are also the people who will benefit from a financial windfall. “Global warming” is a money and power industry for the left. Certain people, scientists, researchers, and leftist activists and politicians (especially those running the pit of the UN) are set to get very, very rich by blaming global warming on humans. Leftist leadership has always reaped the financial benefits of destroying society in the name of altruism.

For the last 55 years the UN has at best been a joke. Most of the time it has been a corrupt enabler and supporter of tyranny as Butros Good Golly Miss Molly showed with his scheme to enrich himself and several of his subordinates as well as several outsiders. The scheme was called “Food -for – Oil†and of course liberals like Jimmy C and Bush1 loved it.
One of the many things that disappointed me about Bush2 was how he “nominated†Bolton 2 years ago and then “damned him with faint praise.†Of course Bush made his feelings about Bolton very clear this year when he said Bolton was incompetent; and did not know what he was talking about.
The best thing to bring peace and freedom to the world would be for the UN to join the LoN. But too many powerful American liberals – Bushs 1 + 2, Carter, Clinton (both) Kerry, Feinstein … – think it is great and are willing to tax working Americans so people like Saddam Hussein, Mao, Fidel, Hugo, Ho et. al. can live well and prosper while killing millions of innocents.
Tammy you hit the nail on the head. The idea of a global carbon tax will make George Washington and Thomas Jefferson roll over in their graves, set upright and shout what the hell is going on. I guess the concept of taxation without representation is a foreign concept to these Marxists at the UN. I hope they don’t institute a carbon tax on Al Gore since it has been revealed he spends a King’s ransom on energy to heat/cool his mansions. What a hypocrit and speaking of mansions, John Edwards lives a castle and then goes around talking about two Americas. He get fit one of those Americas in his house.
To a leftist (democrat) no Tax is EVER out of bounds…for any reason…whenever…wherever…just impose it, sit back and build the Nanny State once the revenue stream starts paying off!
The funniest global warming story in years is the Al Gore hypocrisy. Of course, I doubt that he flies commercial either. Are private jets efficient users of fossil fuels? Would not watch them, but did most of the “green” elitists in Hollywood arrive to the awards ceremonies in Priuses the other night? LOLOLOLOL at these liberals.
