Well, I’ve learned all I need to know about Barack Obama, the Democrat’s shiny new mascot who will heal the old wounds and pull the country together.

In response to a reporter’s question of, “Is America ready for a black president?”, Obama had this to say:

Are there some voters who would not vote for an African America candidate because of race? I’m sure there are. Those are the same voters who probably wouldn’t vote for me because of my politics.

A paraphrased mis-quote appeared in this USA Today article:

Obama said some people would never vote for a black candidate, but they probably wouldn’t vote for him anyway because of his politics.

Notice how the mainstream media has softened his remark? Obama himself said that the people who disagree with his politics are racists. But the report reverses the sense of that statement to make it more palatable, as if he only said that the racists would also happen to disagree with him politically. On the surface it may sound like the same thing, but the difference is critical. The comment as reported is almost (but not quite) reasonable (I would argue that the real racists are the race-obsessed Democrats), but the comment as quoted is disgusting.

I cannot wait until the Empty Suit tangles with Hilly the Hun and her “Anyone who disagrees with my politics hates women” attitude.

And the MSM is confined to wringing their hands in frustration, because there is no Republican in sight to blame.

Who was it who first said they loved Democratic primaries because the media doesn’t who they’re supposed to be for?

  3. Andy says:

Does this mean that any Democrat who votes for a candidate other that Obama in the primaries is also a racist? I am sure Hillary would like to know.

The MSM had better get in a big supply of erasers. I heard on the news tonight Obama said 3,000 American lives were WASTED in Iraq.

Gee, I would vote for Michael Steele specifically because of his politics. This Obamapalooza is turning into the biggest circus in politics in at least several weeks

In the “60 Minutes” interview, Obama’s wife had this to say in response to a question about her husband’s increased security:
“I don’t lose sleep over it because the realities are that . . . as a black man . . . Barack can get shot going to the gas station.”

Where the hell did that come from??

Tammy has talked about how a man’s choice for a wife can reveal much about his character. Enough said.

As expected, Obama claims he didn’t mean to say American lives were “wasted”–the word he actually used. He meant to say. “Their service hasn’t been honored because our civilian strategy has not honored their courage and bravery and we have put them in a situation in which it is hard for them to succeed.”

Exactly, Sen. Obama, it is the demoralizing, insulting words and the subversive political positions of the Democrats and their media fellow-travelers that dishonor the courage and bravery of our military and undermine their mission. I can’t find the words to tell you how much I despise you for what you’re doing to this country.

Forget his race. Seeing how we are at war with Islamofaciest, do we want a president who attended a Madrasa. It would be like a Hitler youth running in 1942.

Huh? Is it not a fact that there are people in this country that would not vote for a black man? It seems that is a fact, and Obama was clearly stating that he recognizes that fact. He also recognizes the correlation between between his progressive-minded politics versus a racists closed minded regressive politics.

Would anyone care to make the argument that someone who shares many or all of Obama’s politcal views is also a bigot? I think not, as Obama’s platform is based upon opportunity, equality, and most importantly, HOPE. All of which tend to go unheeded in today’s Republican Party. As of now, a large part the country is fueled by fear (of Islam), hate (of Islam), & blind racism (vs. Islam)…

My point is evidenced right above me as the poster has used a fabricated news story that was debunked the next day as a reason to not vote for Obama. He (or she) was looking for a reason to close their mind and found it, surprise, on Fox News.

As far as the ‘wasted’ comment by Obama, since 2002 he has been against this war, and I think it is an apt, understandable comment. Until George Bush explains what the actual scenario for VICTORY is in Iraq, the soldiers do not know what they are fighting towards. The reason Bush has not outlined a Victory Plan is because he does not have one. This war ends for him, when he steps down in January, 2009.

What is worse, putting the soldiers on a battlefield without the proper support of a clear battle plan – or saying the way you feel about the lives spent on this senseless war. Their lives were not wasted by themselves, they were wasted by the people who sent them there.
