I am repeating here a note that Tammy made on her radio show today. This was a weird little incident that illustrates how dumb some of the politicians and mainstream media people think we are.
Hillary was raised in Illinois. She attended college at Wellesley (Massachusetts), and later went to Yale (Connecticut), where she met Bill. The heavy Southern accent which nowadays springs to her lips (here’s a YouTube sample) when she speaks to a Black audience is a new and obviously artificial affectation.
Okay, she’s a politician, and she panders. That’s to be expected. But when challenged on this point, her spin is a ridiculous even by political standards. As reported by the Associated Press:
“I think America is ready for a multilingual president,” Clinton said during a campaign stop at a charter school in Greenville, S.C.
For the record, “multilingual” means “speaking several languages”. If speaking with a funny accent makes one multilingual, I would have done much better in my high school language class.
Then, the AP article goes on to objectively report:
Clinton is a linguistic polyglot — a Chicago native turned New York resident who works in Washington and spent two decades living in Arkansas when her husband, Bill Clinton, was governor.
For the record, a “polyglot” is someone who is “competent in many languages”. It’s a stronger word than “multilingual”.
A newswire seems like such an objective source, doesn’t it? It’s just a wire, unaffected by human bias. That’s why “everyone” agrees there’s no need to apply a “fairness doctrine” to the news — except of course to FoxNEWS, which “everyone” knows to be tainted. (Remember Bill Clinton in his 9/22/06 interview with Chris Wallace? “So you did Fox’s bidding on this show. You did your nice little conservative hit job on me.” Bill has just handed his foot soldiers an official permission slip to hate Fox.)
I appreciate talk radio hosts for being up-front with their biases and agendas. We know who we’re dealing with and what they’re selling. I’d like to see the mainstream media aspire to this level of honesty. Or, failing that, at least to make their lies slightly less insulting to our intelligence.

As an old timer let me tell you Walter Cronkite started it all with his â€Ugly America†propaganda series that was started when Ike was elected.The “Ugly America†theme was so well liked by the MSM/DNC 55 years ago that Huntly-Brinkly copied it within a year.
In the print media the NYT started its anti-American propaganda as news push 89 years ago. Which won a Pulitzer for one of its writers 70 years ago for a series of propaganda/lies “news†articles hw wrote about Joe.
And now you tell me the MSM/DNC is printing pro Democrat lies and propaganda as “newsâ€! I am shocked I tell you! Shocked!
She can also speak out of both sides of her mouth and the part of her body she sits on.
Hillary can say or do anything in any way imagineable and not pay a price in the party. Dems do not care about sincerity or character. The only thing that matters is “the cause.” Those of us that cringe at the pandering are wired differently. We’ll never understand them and they’ll never understand us.
The Clintons are like the Kennedys in Massachussetts, they will always be voted in by a hip, smart, progressive crowd who could care less about the integrity, intelligence, motivation, competence, or criminality of their representatives – kinda like the New Orleans crowd reelecting Ray Nagin who so brilliantly led them during Hurricane Katrina. Citizens who corrupt the political system in this way should not be allowed to vote. You’d have to pass some kind of 3-way IQ/morality/lie detector test in order to get a ballot.
Just another example of what exposure at any level to a Yale version of education will do for you.
Obviously Hillary’s no linguist. If she were, her husband wouldn’t have been auditioning so many surrogate linguists in the Oval Office. Maybe a little linguistic attention from Hillary would have saved her husband and the nation from a most humiliating scandal.
The real question is whether the American public really is as dumb as the distaff KKKlinton thinks.
And I’ll point you to one dramatic piece of evidence:
The number of people who can seriously entertain the idea of this goody-goody Stalinist blockhead as an American president !!!!!!

Thanks for defining ‘polyglot’; that is above my pay grade! As one of Mrs. Bill Clinton’s constituents I can assure you she is multilingual; in various dialects of manure.
She’s so smart, besides thinking she’s a “linguist” for being able to talk funny, she’s still running her campaign against GWB, apparently believing he’ll be running for an anti-Constitutional 3rd term.
If you really want to know what Hillary’s accent is all about, just ask Bill. I hear he’s usually an expert at cunning linguists.
