There are two immediate fronts in the War on Radical islamists: abroad and here at home. The commitment to keeping the enemy at bay should mean that we secure our borders and ports, but we have done the opposite. In the 6 1/2 years since September 11th, efforts have been made to make our ports less secure (remember the Dubai Ports deal?) and President Bush, the man who supposed to be confronting the terrorists and keeping this nation safe, has helped to craft an amnesty bill that would allow even al-Qaida terrorists here illegally to gain legal status, with benefits, in less than a day.

With all the work and updates I’ll have for you, the phone calls, faxes, emails and convincing we have to do because of the blind sell-out ,of this country by today’s self-obsessed politicians, I want to remind you what sort of leader we are capable of producing and elevating to the highest office in the land.

First, here’s a clip of who that is not: President Bush just last month from one of the most infuriating little ‘town halls’ he ever had. Many of you will remember me covering this during Tammy Radio. At Tippecanoe High School in Ohio, an auditorium filled with adults, the president repeats the same old rhetoric from years ago about why we’re in Iraq. His attitude is patronizing and insulting. He is talking to those adults, and thus the rest of us, as though we are children, and need to be reminded that the enemy wants to kill us. What the president doesn’t understand is that we have stopped supporting him not because we’re morons who don’t understand the threat and have lost focus, it’s because he doesn’t get it, evidenced by the fact that he is still refusing to allow our military to kill the enemy.

To cleanse your palate, and for deeply personal inspiration we need to defeat/confront both the amnesty bill and the cut-and-run/screw the troops bill, here’s President Reagan, about forty years ago, stumping for Barry Goldwater. This is a speech about the Soviet Union, but it is immediately relevant today, simply switch out the Soviets for al-Qaida, bin Laden for Breshnev, and yesterday’s left for today’s moonbats because leftists, like cancer, never change, they just keep having to be fought off and defeated. Compare this to that pathetic absurdity of Bush above. It truly takes your breath away. Thank goodness we at least have President Reagan on tape. It’s a voice you’re going to hear on Tammy Radio a lot as the weeks proceed, because there’s certainly no one else out there right now. Remember, we had to go through President Carter to get President Reagan. Yes, history does repeat itself. We’ve got our Neo-Carter, let’s hope our New Reagan is around the corner.

My goodness no wonder Reagan was called the great communicator. That speech sent chills up my spine and brought a tear to my eye. The difference between the two videos are like night and day. It is astonishing how Reagans speech can apply to what we are facing today in our fight against Islamofacists for our very existence as was the threat of the enemy 40 years ago.
What a battle cry to hear a speech like that today , how that would empower and give hope and strength to our military as we crush our enemy instead of the pitiful defeatist surrender we can’t win this war attitude that comes from the enemy within. Yes Tammy keep playing that voice on Tammy radio. Reagan is still the voice of inspiration and hope even though he has not been with us for years, there is NO ONE out there who comes close to the great man and leader he was.
As far as a new Reagan being around the corner I’m afraid ( because of the sorry lot of choices ) that we are going to be brought to our knees by a Hillary term before that happens. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom and start from scratch emerging from the ashes before rebuilding into that shining city on the hill. Teri

I wish Bush would be as clear as Bob Kerrey, former Democratic senator from Nebraska and member of the 9/11 Commission.

    The Left’s Iraq Muddle:
Yes, it is central to the fight against Islamic radicalism.

No matter how incompetent the Bush administration and no matter how poorly they chose their words to describe themselves and their political opponents, Iraq was a larger national security risk after Sept. 11 than it was before. And no matter how much we might want to turn the clock back and either avoid the invasion itself or the blunders that followed, we cannot. The war to overthrow Saddam Hussein is over. What remains is a war to overthrow the government of Iraq.

Suppose we had not invaded Iraq and Hussein had been overthrown by Shiite and Kurdish insurgents. Suppose al Qaeda then undermined their new democracy and inflamed sectarian tensions to the same level of violence we are seeing today. Wouldn’t you expect the same people who are urging a unilateral and immediate withdrawal to be urging military intervention to end this carnage? I would.

The demand for self-government was and remains strong in Iraq despite all our mistakes and the violent efforts of al Qaeda, Sunni insurgents and Shiite militias to disrupt it. Al Qaeda in particular has targeted for abduction and murder those who are essential to a functioning democracy: school teachers, aid workers, private contractors working to rebuild Iraq’s infrastructure, police officers and anyone who cooperates with the Iraqi government.

…American lawmakers who are watching public opinion tell them to move away from Iraq as quickly as possible should remember this: Concessions will not work with either al Qaeda or other foreign fighters who will not rest until they have killed or driven into exile the last remaining Iraqi who favors democracy.

…We must not allow terrorist sanctuaries to develop any place on earth. Whether these fighters are finding refuge in Syria, Iran, Pakistan or elsewhere, we cannot afford diplomatic or political excuses to prevent us from using military force to eliminate them.
