In the last month, several powerful people here and in the UK have actually stated the civilized world should “talk to” genocidal, mass murdering terrorist group Hamas. Our world has seen, and reaped the horrific price, of appeasers before. Let our generations be the ones who finally say no to the cowards who want to do business with Evil Manifest.

Talk to Hamas or face oblivion, Blair warned

WASHINGTON: Tony Blair’s efforts to revive the Middle East peace process will be doomed unless the West begins talking to the militant group Hamas, the man who is expected to informally advise the former British prime minister says.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph of London, Daniel Levy warned that al-Qaeda could win new supporters among disaffected Palestinians unless Hamas – regarded by Israel, the US and other Western countries as a terrorist group – is allowed “inside the tent”.

Colin Powell: Quartet should find way to talk to Hamas

Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell said Thursday the international diplomatic Quartet on the Middle East should find some way to talk to Hamas.

“I don’t think you can just cast them into outer darkness and try to find a solution to the problems of the region without taking to account the standing that Hamas has in the Palestinian community,” Powell said in a radio interview…

“They won an election that we insisted upon having,” Powell said. “And so, as unpleasant a group they may be and as distasteful as I find some of their positions, I think through some means, the Middle East Quartet… or through some means Hamas has to be engaged.”

Hamas pleased with European ‘U-turn’

Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip said Tuesday they were encouraged by the “positive” change in the position of some European countries toward the Islamist movement…The Hamas official welcomed “positive” changes in the position of Italy and Britain toward Hamas and called on other European countries to follow suit. He also welcomed statements by Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, who called for negotiating with Hamas to help the movement “develop politically.”

With all this rhetoric, should we be so surprised with this? And after Bush-Rice Axis of Appeasement have sent close to an additional $100 million in tax payer dollars to the goons of Fatah.

Hamas, Fatah in secret talks: Haniya aide

The Hamas movement is holding secret talks with the rival Fatah movement of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, a member of the dismissed Hamas government said Tuesday. The discussions are aimed at resuming the general dialogue between the two movements which are entangled in a political stand-off, after Hamas beat Fatah in deadly Gaza street battles and assumed sole control of the Gaza Strip in mid-June.

“There are local efforts and initiatives by the Arabs to bridge the gap between Hamas and Fatah but these attempts remain behind closed doors,” said Ahmed Yousef, an aide to Ismail Haniya, the sacked prime minister of Hamas, who remains in de-facto control of Gaza.

when hamas eliminated fatah in gaza over the past months, Dubya and the feckless ehud olmert couldn’t wait to shower mahmoud abbas with money and concessions. and when abbas and hamas kiss and make up, we will look like fools yet again. has anyone else come to the conclusion that palestinians DON’T WANT A STATE LIVING IN PEACE WITH ISRAEL? All that matters to palestinians is that they are still able to kill Jews and try to destroy Israel.

    Duh …
