Can we even ever really forgive Allah or Bryan or whoever at Hot Air brought this to our attention? What kind of nightmares will this generate? Is there any excuse for this whatsoever? Is this some sort of karmic punishment from God for the west creating absolutely arbitrary “country” lines in the Middle East? For making “royalty” out of a bunch of Arab nomads? Or was it that cozying up to Saddam when it was convenient, and now the cozying up to Saudi Arabia and Dubai because it’s convenient?
What does Janet Reno have to do with any of that? I don’t know, except that she’s part of the punishment, I’m sure.

KENDALL, Fla., Sept. 18 (UPI) — A three-CD album of historical songs from former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno debuted Tuesday.
“Song of America,” a 50-tune “history book'” that Reno helped shepherd, is in stores now, the Miami Herald has reported… Reno said it all began when she heard her niece’s musician husband, Ed Pettersen, play two history-inspired songs he had written.
“I was sitting there doing some work,'” Reno recalled. “And then I found I was listening to him and this song — I couldn’t figure out what it was about. When he told me, it came alive.'”
Pettersen said Reno immediately started suggesting eras of U.S. history that should be documented through music. Unable to find any other comprehensive history told through folk songs, Petterson and Reno set out to compile their own.
Yeah, the former AG had to have the meaning of the music ‘splained to her. But then she got it. And wanted to do more.
Sorta like when you start shooting up Ruby Ridge and don’t want to stop.
Or when you don’t arrest David Koresh when he’s out jogging and instead wait to get home to you can invade his compound, too. Obviously, unlike music, no one bothered to stop and explain that one to her.
Another reason, even with all our frustration with politicians of every ilk, to not let people who let Reno loose in the first place get another shot at this ruining this nation.
Just a thought.
Oh, one last thought–at least God is kind. Even though I’m sending you to a link about Reno, there’s a nice little picture of Angelina Jolie with that boy-toy of hers in the right hand column. A nice little antidote to the Reno images that pop in our heads.
At least she doesn’t do any of the singing and her face isn’t on the cover. Something to be said for that.

I was laughing when first reading this post and honestly thought the link was to The Onion.
From what I have read, she’s not one of the performers on the cd (there is a God!), but her name is attached and that’s enough for me to *have* to stare at Angelina Jolie for the rest of the day.
