The County of San Diego has figured out how much it costs the their local taxpayers to take care of illegal aliens (HT Pat S.). Amazing how expensive the McCain/Kennedy/Bush ‘cheap labor’ really is. What this amounts to, of course, is taxpayer subsidies for corporations, via the rank moral failure of the establishment of a new slave labor class.

We’re all better than this, and Mexicans certainly deserve better, like their own country not being a Narco Government and actually worth living in.

Immigrant cost study officially received by county board

San Diego– Direct expenditures by the county of San Diego in the 2006-07 fiscal year on behalf of illegal immigrants totaled $101.5 million, according to a report presented Tuesday to the Board of Supervisors.

Nearly half of that sum – $48.5 million – was spent by the Sheriff’s Department to house inmates in area jails, according to the report by John Weeks, a San Diego State University professor and director of the school’s International Population Center…

Weeks estimated that there are nearly 210,000 illegal immigrants living in San Diego County, comprising 6.8 percent of the population.

That means that the county directly spends $527 for each person, and that those expenditures amount to $35.21 per resident, his report says.

The figures only include county expenses, not those of hospitals and schools, which are funded privately or by other levels of government.

Supervisor Dianne Jacob said the costs of illegal immigration come out of the general fund. “That’s money we could be spending on others things – fixing our roads, our libraries, our parks, our trails,” she said.

Gee, makes me feel wonderful for being a legal, working taxpayer in this country.

The illegals are a great opportunity for businesses, which get labor at bargain-basement rates. But the cheap wages are subsidized by the taxpayer, who picks up the tab for education, medical expenses, social services, policing, etc. So the business interests and the government itself (which loves people to be dependent on government) form an unholy alliance, along with the cranks who somehow object to America controlling its borders. It seems that all the special interests are aligned against a solid majority of the citizens. Unfortunately, the special interests are carrying the day. When they can’t get the laws they want, they find some judge to declare their ideas into law anyway. Look what happened to California’s Prop 187: The taxpayers declined to subsidize services to illegals, but a judge told us we’ve got no right to say how our tax dollars are spent, and then the legislature redoubled their efforts to hand out goodies. We all know this isn’t right, but the dysfunction seems unstoppable.

Ever since the wretched Amnesty Bill was beaten down, I’ve felt like true conservative, law-abiding, hard-working, rational American citizens are finally at a tipping point when it comes to all the garbage that we have put up with for far too long. And we know we can indeed make a difference.

If you are ILLEGAL, I DON’T CARE WHY! You just shouldn’t be here. Period.

Build the damn wall! Start the deportation! Let’s get it right this time. The preservation of our American culture is at stake. And let’s make sure we vote in individuals who recognize that fact.

The federal government partially reimburses states for emergency medical care given to illegals. The feds recently ruled that no reimbursements would be given to states for chemotherapy provided to illegals because it isn’t emergency care. Governor Spitzer of New York says he’ll sue the federal government for reimbursement. He says the federal ruling is “morally and clinically and legally wrong”. He says it is up to the attending physician to decide what is emergency care.

I must admit I winced at the thought of turning away a cancer sufferer, but sometimes you have to be hard hearted. How much compassion can we afford? The flood of illegals will become a tidal wave when word gets around America is giving away free cancer treatment. You can bet it will be easy to find physicians willing to decree any medical care for illegals as an emergency. It’s the way compassion works for liberals. I feel good about myself and you pick up the tab.

Governor Spitzer, is it moral to expect American citizens to pay for their own cancer treatment and also cover the costs for illegals? I think not.

Legal and LAW ABIDING citizens must find a way to ban together. Grass roots efforts have sprung up but they are fighting an uphill battle when the state and local governments pass off responsibility to enforce the law as “a federal responsibility”.

There is so much fraud going on as well, and our country is bleeding out. The illegal alien invasion is expanding the dependent class, and setting the stage for socialists like Hillary Clinton to have their way with the rest of us.

Have we forgotten that we are STILL the majority? At least for now. We must stop this insanity before it’s too late. We can’t make any compromises with this issue, because as we’ve seen, if we give an inch, they’ll take a mile. Nothing short of demanding a zero tolerence policy on border jumpers and illegal aliens already here, will fix this.

Perhaps we should take our cue from Spitzer and sue the federal government ourselves for funds that have been stolen from our communities, due to their incompetence and refusal to enforce our immigration laws.

If you haven’t figured it out, we already lost our country. The special interest groups, business, and the greed of the congress have already sold this country off. What remains will be for future greed. The people made a bold move to stop the twisted “immigrant bill,” but as you see, they are putting small portions of legislation of the failed bill into other bills. Trying to hide it to get passed. We lost our congress along time ago. It’s a matter of time until this nation’s sovereignty will end. The “time” can be fast by voting for D’s and liberal R’s, or slightly slower by voting for R’s and conservative D’s. The common citizen has been duped by the monopolized two party system. It’s gone…

    Dear RADARGEEK,

I feel the same way on a daily basis, but there’s something inside that makes me still determined to fight. To not accept it. It will take DRASTIC measures for sure, but I have to believe that we can still turn this around. We can’t give up! We’ve got to at least try to do whatever we can to save our country!

I like to think that if everyone (of us that was against the invasion) had the passion and determination that I did, that it would would be a cakewalk. We can’t get so downtrodden that we surrender what is ours. We CAN’T!
