Here’s the video of the segment as we discuss HIllary’s Planted Questioners drama. Of special amusement is Bob Beckel’s assertion that because “everyone does it” (effectively lie to the American people and avoid meaningful questions by planting questions), it’s no big deal and Hillary can do it.

Since that segment, here’s a Fox News story about the controversy which uses Bob’s and some of my comments about the issue.

As you also may have seen, the student who originally broke the Planted Questions story talked with CNN about exactly what transpired prior to the Clinton rally at issue, and how she was prepped. Hot Air has it all.

A note by Maynard: Did anyone catch this huge gaffe on Bob Beckel’s part? It starts with the clip from Hillary’s press conference, with the questioner quoting John Edwards as saying that planting questions is “George Bush-like behavior”. Hillary responds with a smarmy little speech about how she was just shocked by this revelation, and she disapproved of such behavior. Focus now goes to Beckel, who blurts out that he’s worked on four presidential campaigns, and everyone on both sides planted questions, and this is just standard operating procedure. He is saying, in effect, that Hillary and Edwards are liars and hypocrites in feigning innocence and condemning the tactic. The moderator gets a whiff of the implication and starts to follow up with Beckel, who apparently realizes what he’s done. He suddenly backs off and tries to take the bullet himself instead of shooting down his top leadership…”Well, maybe it’s just in the campaigns I’ve been involved in, and maybe I’m just one of those kind of guys…”, he lamely explains, and then quickly changes the subject.

Spot on Tammy! “Honesty and Clarity”. I don’t care who has done it before or who is doing it now..it is wrong, fundamentally wrong!

Also great point with how she will handle things if she is President. We all know badly by the way..

As always great spot and thanks Tammy for saying what we wish we all could say to the media. Proud to have your my rep out there!!

I think you have become my Valerie Plame. (See your remarks about Valerie Plame.) Oh, criminy.

As you know, I find this a fraudulent issue, but you make your points fast and furiously, so much so that if I were your sparring partner I would just give up and throw down my microphone. Without conceding that you were right, mind you.

Let’s let go of the dress at last, shall we? Don’t sexual misdeeds have a statute of limitations? I sure as hell hope so, personally….

What makes me so angry about all of this is the claim that Bush started this planting questions thing. Bill Clinton did it before him. This is just standard operating procedure for the Clintons. The only difference now is that they’re being called on it. Beckel also complained about Bush banning hostile view points from his audiences. Guess who pioneered that political trick too?

I felt the comment about the dress was spot on! Look, if we forget and have suggestive amnesia regarding Bill back in the White House. (THE PEOPLES HOUSE) we need to be reminded from time to time, from somone like Tammy who has seen the other side. Knows their game plan as well as they do.
Hillary has just too much dirty laundry she is carrying around. We already know whats in the bag. We don’t need to see it again!
I loved the calmness that you have Tammy. Bob is one on the more sane talking heads on the other side, You just way outshine him everytime out!

Once again, your honesty, objectivity and integrity shine through. It amazes me that Beckel continues to share the stage with you since he sounds so dumb every time you two debate.

Tammy, I think you may have broken Bugsy Beckle last week.

He’s was out on his feet, weakened to the point of sucking up to the moderator there and going so far as to cop to the fact that he’s nothing more than a crooked hack.

Not the vicious TKO of last week, but a solid unanimous decision.

    TAM-MY BOMAYE! TAM-MY BOMAYE!

  8. helpunderdog says:

A couple of your shrewd comments Tammy and Beckel broke! Confessing to the common Democratic practice of audience planting – Beckel in effect outed Hillary and the Democrats as hypocritical liars!

  9. SlimFemme says:

Tammy you were absolutely correct. This is so dishonest. There’s not a honest bone in this woman’s body. I have this feeling she will win the presidency. Not because of what she has to offer(or lack thereof), but for the ineptitude of the other democratic contenders and the republican party. I hope I’m wrong.

I just watched the clip with you on Fox about the planted question. One of the things I most respect about you is your ability to see the whole picture and not just a piece of it. I thought you did excellent on keeping on point while the other gentleman was trying to make a moral equivalence with no facts.

I am glad you are out there speaking in defense of right behavior vs wrong behavior.

  11. Bob Beckel is always tough because of his smile while he eases the knife into your back; I dread hearing him everytime I see him. But you nailed him to the wall and I loved every second of it.

I agree with your earlier commenter on your keen ability to see the big picture as well as your ability to go toe-to-toe, issue-to-issue with the best of them.

I just with Fox would have you on much more often.

Tammy, you make us all very proud to be “Tam-maniacs” every time you wield your prodigious wit, intellect and humor against the “forces of darkness” (mild exaggeration). We love ya girl. Please keep doin’ what ya do.
