First exit polls have Romney nicely ahead. While I’m a Giuliani girl, I’m hoping Romney stops this idiocy of the McCain rise (or, as reader Ray in Dearbornistan has dubbed him, “Jose McKennedy”). A McKennedy loss in Michigan will at least make the Establishment Media have to work harder to lionize him.

As of 7pm ET, the numbers are: Romney 35, McKennedy 29, Huckanut 15, Ron “Crazy Uncle” Paul 10, Giuliani 4. The polls close at 8pm ET.

The Michigan Sec of State is predicting at 20% turnout, lower than in 2000 by about 300,000, which all are reporting helps Romney. Indies and Dems can vote in the Repub primary, btw, Considering only Hillary is on the Dem ballot, weird things could happen. At the same time, Dems could place protest votes as the Dems have the “undecided” optionif they don’t want Hillary. If “undecided” does well, Hillary will be slightly embarrassed.

Here’s the ABC News page for updates.

UPDATE:

Romney wins. Nice work Michigan. Too bad “Uncommitted” didn’t beat Hillary. Now that would have been funny.

    CNN = Pravda re McKennedy

    Compare this to the CNN reporting on McCain tonight:

    An old joke about Pravda posits an American and Russian running a foot race. The American wins.

    Pravda reports that the American came in next to last, while the Russian came in second.

    Thanks for posting your schedule ahead of time; tuned in at 8:15 PM PT to catch your segment on O’Reilly; LOL you followed that “progressive” guy from Dakota (Air America guy); So glad you “resepect yourself in the morning” and now I have the benefit of your wisdom; it’s kind of a real trip listening to you on KABC and watching you simultaneously on O’Reilly.

    Surfed past Kieth O on MSNBC just now where he played a tape of Juan’s defeat speech and while trying to say “Michigan voters”, JUAN actually started to say “mexican voters”! It was intelligible! God (interpret any way you want) HELP THE REPUBLICAN PARTY! Try to see it.
    UNBELIEVABLE!

    I’m glad to see McCain beaten. I fear that he will be the nominee anyway. The Republican machine wants him and the media loves him, or at least they fein love now. The Dems want him to be the opponent so they can turn him into Bob Dole, portraying him as a doddering old warhorse whos time has passed. and the media figures what the heck, a liberal Republican in the whitehouse is almost as good as a liberal Democrat. McCain has shown his colors time after time. The record is more the rule than the current exceptions he espouses.
