While Iran continues to perfect it’s nuclear bomb, two of three presidential candidates want to surrender, and China and Russia are harassing our military and spying on our defense infrastructure. Yeah, sounds like we have a bunch of liberals running the country–in Congress and the White House–who have no clue and are too afraid to actually take a stand on things that matter.

Well, thanks to the Congressional “investigation” into Roger Clemens’ alleged steroids use, at least we know Jose Canseco has a really nice house, who was at Canseco’s pre-game house party and the fact that it would have been a better party had it not been a day before the game so they could only drink iced tea. Thanks Congress. I had no idea.

Next, could you check on China and see what they’re doing? You know, about spying on us, and sending us poisoned food and medicine, funding the Darfur genocide and testing satellite killing lasers? And maybe, if you have time, line up banking officials and ask them who they hell they’ve been giving sub-prime mortgages to? Oh yeah, and ask Russia about that buzzing of the Nimitz the other day. Only if you have time though, you know, in between talking to baseball players, and having more secret, back room deals writing another amnesty bill.

We better get this fixed in November, folks.

Iran testing advanced uranium centrifuges: diplomat

Iran has begun testing advanced second-generation centrifuges, defying UN Security Council demands to end its uranium enrichment activities, Western diplomats said Wednesday.

According to the diplomats, who are posted to the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Iran has begun real tests of P2 centrifuges with uranium gas with the aim of producing enriched uranium.

“The Iranians are showing their face and it is clear that they want to develop their new centrifuges,” said one Western diplomat. The tests are the exact “opposite” of what the United Nations expects from Iran, said a European diplomat.

They cant be serious. Iran is doing the opposite of what the UN expects? How can that be? And wait a minute, North Korea’s been lying to us, too. But Condi believed them, and how can she be wrong? Or stupid? Or pathetic?

“Spygate” and MLB-steroids both say to me that Congress is full of egocentric morons. $Millions wasted.NO wonder my taxes keep going up!

  2. Pathman says:

Keep beating the drum for us Tammy!

Jerry Doyle had a great streaming rant on the same subject yesterday.

Newt is talking the “Independent Conservative” talk stronger, and pointing out that Conservative does not equal Republican.

Odd how the Alan Colmes and the MSM want to say that talk radio is powerless because it is not translating into votes, and that Hugh Hewitt and Sean Hannity’s endorsements didn’t work. Duh! INDEPENDENT! They informed us and it looks to me like it is translating into Huck protest votes and stay at home votes. Dems are outvoting Reps 2:1 in the primaries. That should have the GOP worried.

  3. Sean H. says:

One of Pathman’s comments is misleading, I believe. He says that the Dems are out voting the Reps 2:1. First ther are more registered Dems I believe, and secondly if other states are like mine, Californnia, Non-Partisan(Independent) voters were allowed to vote for the Dem. Candidate, but not the Rep.. This might create the impression that Pathman alludes to.

The Republican party has to start realizing that they cannont have it all their way. The true conservative candidate, (whatever that is), cannot get elected, because his cause is too extreme. the overly Liberal candidate has the same problem.
In John McCain the party has a very electable candidate. He has appeal to the moderate voter, and the conservative leaning Democrat. Combine these two factions with the Republican vote and you have a winner.

Look at it this way, Tammy. At least Congress is taking a break from its frantic efforts to meet al Qaeda’s benchmarks in Iraq.

Reference James Madison’s letter on the meaning of the Commerce clause

I’m no polster, so maybe Sean H. is correct, but there are plenty of big name pollsters pointing this out. I’d be curious to hear more.

That was the biggest waste of time and money I’d ever witnessed. Two liars trying to see who can tell the bigger whopper, while the guy that distributed the steroids in the first place (Radomski) gets 5 years probation. A dog and pony show mock trial with no verdict. Four and a half snowbound hours of my life that I’ll never get back.

I wonder what congress and Senator “Red Sox” Mitchell would say if they realized that the majority of baseball fans (like myself) could care less about all this. Intitute an effective testing policy and let’s move on. Stop wasting my tax dollars on nonsense that can’t change what’s already been done.

  8. Jennifer says:

PETERFNY you are spot on, unfortunatly I believe Congress is required to investigate any illegal activity in the MLB, the MLB has a special “pass” from congress allowing them to be a monopoly, but part of that allowance means that congress has to be involved with any problems that may arrise, so that they (congress) can determine wether to strip or keep the allowed monopoly status.

  9. joeblough says:

Iran, China, Russia all that stuff is optional.

Investigating baseball however is mandated by the US Constitution in the Sports Clause.

  10. Dave J says:

Jennifer, MLB’s antitrust “exemption” is a myth of sorts. It rests not directly on any express statutory language passed by Congress, but on a very odd and highly questionable court case from the early 1900’s holding the Sherman Antitrust Act not to apply to baseball because baseball is a sport and not a “business.” That is, of course, ludicrously laughable and could not possibly survive a moment’s scrutiny if it were ever challenged.

  11. The Friendly Grizzly says:

Bank officials are granting sub-prime loans at the insistence of congress itself who told the banks they would lend to those with no ability to pay back, or else. Equal Housing Lender, and all that, you know!

  12. Pathman says:

Walkout demonstrations by conservative Congress, Mitt backs John, another college massacre, Islamic riots in Denmark and the jihadists still want to kill us. What will today’s Tammy Bruce show bring?

  13. cds3211 says:

This is so stupid. Everyone knows about this. I agree, lets institute a testing program and move on. The next stupid item of lost time and money is the “investigation” of the New England Patriots team for taping the other team’s coaches sending signs to their team. Sheesh! You might think they could spend the public’s money on things that matter. Every person who ever played ball (baseball or football or any other ball) knows about this. It’s why the teams spend so much time changing the signs and having fake signs. Good lord, this is a ball game. How about working on the war or the economy!
