Eventually the truth usually does slip out; it’s called the Compulsion to Confess and McAmnesty’s got a bad case of it.
McCain is tongue-tied in Texas
RICHARDSON, Texas – Republican candidate John McCain has had trouble winning over some of his party’s conservatives, who suspect that deep down [Suspect? Deep down? How about right there at the surface?] he’s not one of them. On Thursday, McCain may have confirmed their suspicions with a slip of the tongue.
“I’m a proud conservative, liberal Republic…,†McCain said before catching himself.
“Conservative Republican,†he said deliberately, as the crowd at a brand-new Texas Instruments manufacturing plant laughed. “Hello, easy there. Let me say this: I am a proud conservative Republican, and both of my likely opponents today are liberal Democrats.â€
The Arizona senator had another gaffe later on when he described how he will take on the eventual Democratic nominee.
“It’ll be dispirited,†he said. “It’ll be spirited. Because there are stark differences.â€
As the saying goes, the truth will set you free!! So to speak. He might as well admit it because that’s exactly what he is.
Well, as so well stated. The truth will set him free. AT least at this point we can start on common ground with McCain.
That is what they call a Freudian slip…
In the Bible it says ‘for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks’!
As my friends and I might call it, that was a Holy Spirit slip. The truth of what really is came out, though he didn’t mean for it to.
Think Freud was really on to something in this particular case. Keep on slipping, McCain — we’re on to you anyway.
Now THAT’S what I call “STRAIGHT TALK!!”
HA-HA!!
If McLame the traitor (to conservative values) doesn’t make a sincere pledge to us to stop or significantly reduce the illegal alien invasion from Mexico, and outline the means by which he intends to accomplish this feat, Hillary (God help me) gets my vote (pardon me while I gag).
