Obama’s First 100 Days

…Obama’s 100-day agenda would be designed, in part, to improve America’s global image. But there is something worse than being unpopular in the world — and that is being a pleading, panting joke. By simultaneously embracing appeasement, protectionism and retreat, President Obama would manage to make Jimmy Carter look like Teddy Roosevelt.

Which is why President Obama would probably not take these actions — at least in the form he has pledged. Sitting behind the Resolute desk is a sobering experience that makes foolish campaign promises seem suddenly less binding.

But it is a bad sign for a candidate when the best we can hope is for him to violate his commitments. And that’s a good sign for John McCain.

The snippet above is the last of a column which demonstrates what Obama would likely do as president, if he sticks to his campaign rhetoric. Strangely, conservatives keep thinking Democrats like Obama won’t do what they say they’re going to do. I’ll remind you again–believe Barack Hussein Obama. He means what he says.

Why we fight so hard Tammy. That is truly frightening..We can not allow it, politically, we just can not allow it.

This is why I laugh when I see Obama standing in front of all these signs that say “change”. What he wants isn’t “change” – it’s a relapse.

  3. i don’t believe he will be welcomed any more by the islamic world than bush, mccain or sarkozy. they may pretend for a while, but in the long run it will be even worse. and i believe he will strive a great deal to fulfill his campaign promises, because i don’t think he has any since of history (that isn’t slanted) or responsibility. i don’t think the resolute desk’s weight will give him any pause what-so-ever…

A month ago, I would have said the GOP has no chance in November, but I will admit I have my doubts now. Obama and Clinton duking it out only helps the GOP, and this is going to continue it appears. If Texas and Ohio came down clean to Obama, the Dems would have been favored in my mind in November, but they can’t get their s*it together.

In college, I had a history professor who used to say “I would rather be hated and feared than loved and laughed at.”
