Uh, to the Democrats. With ‘conservatives’ like these who needs Pelosi, Dean and Soros?

Senate Majority No Longer Republicans’ Goal

The battle cry of the Republican Party is “Two seats to capture the Senate.” But Nevada Sen. John Ensign, who is leading the charge for the GOP, now concedes the party may not win the fight, particularly after two prospective candidates he had hoped to recruit—one in New Jersey, one in South Dakota— refused to sign up for the struggle. “Realistically, we have a very, very slim chance of getting back into the majority,” says Ensign, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. “That’s not even our goal anymore. Our [numeric] goal is to hold as close to where we are as possible.”

They can’t even get people to run as Republicans. This is what happens when no one has respect for you and no one takes you seriously. Losers.

This is what he party has paid for, & this is what they got. They have screwed, blued & tatooed so many good conservative while allowing the robberbarons to take over this party and now they will go the way of the Bolshevic Party(Democrat Party). We have the robberbaron party or we have the Bolshevic party. Well a lot of us ain’t goin for it. True liberals are going to the Libertarian Party & true conservatives are going to the constitution party. Dumbasses are watching American Idol, & their the ones we really have to fear.

The majority of the people are fat, dumb, and happy at this time. Not until you have repressive taxes, no jobs due to Depression(yes, with a “D”)and general social chaos will there be any change at all. The general population must feel pain, primarily fiscal.

    Right on helldogger:
Although I can not see libs going libertarian. I do not see sociallists getting on the “government should get out of the way band wagon”. Also, I see democrats as more mencheviks (the majority group in Russian Communism that wanted to install communism through the ballot box). couldn’t find the spelling for “mencheviks”, Russian for majority.

Back on subject, how are the Republicans going to attract good candidates without clear and inspiring objectives. We need inspiring objectives that go beyond getting this or that group to vote for our candidates. We need our party to stand for statesmanship and not politics.

I am having a very difficult time with your positions, and identifying who you will be supporting in November, Tammy. I only come by the blog occasionally due to the hostile responses I get from a number of your guests (which I tune out now).

I would appreciate your spelling out exactly who will you be supporting in November and why, not just that you are against something that Obama, McCain or Hillary are doing. We all know these candidates have flaws, are you taking the lesser of the evils or is there one of these you can actually favor?

In all fairness to the Republicans, they are losing seats in both chambers pretty regularly. And it’s usually the ‘good’ conservatives who are leaving or being forced out, like J.D. Hayworth,Rick Santorum,Tom Delay etc….and whose seats are being won by Democrats.Look at Denny Hastert….he recently lost his re-election bid to a Democrat. I can definitely see why they are feeling so gloomy. Republicans will be in the minority for at least the next 8 years. And if the Dems pick up a few more Senate seats they will finally have that fillibuster-proof majority that will enable them to pass any legislation(amnetsy, liberal judges, gun control,no drilling at Anwar etc) and the Republicans will be powerless to stop it. The President(McCain,Hillary,Obama) will not veto those bills, especially amnesty. That’s the reason the Repubs are running for the hills! But they have only themselves to blame.

So far, your silence speaks volumes, Tammy.
