Finally, common sense is still alive.

Danish cartoon ruling may prompt “Islamophobia”: OIC

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), a league of 57 Muslim nations, said on Monday a Danish court’s rejection of a suit against a paper for printing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad could provoke “Islamophobia.”

The High Court for western Denmark on Thursday rejected a suit against Jyllands-Posten, the newspaper that first published cartoons of Islam’s prophet, leading to deadly protests in Asia, Africa and the Middle East…

The court said the editors had not meant to depict Muslims as criminals or terrorists, the cartoons had not broken the law, and there was a relationship between acts of violence and Islam — comments that provoked outcry among Muslim groups in Denmark.

“It is a known fact that acts of terror have been carried out in the name of Islam and it is not illegal to make satire out of this relationship,” the court said.

The Saudi-based OIC, the largest grouping of Muslim countries, said the ruling could encourage “Islamophobia”, a fear or dislike of Islam, which the group has identified as existing in the West.

Last time I checked it’s not defending oneself against terrorist beasts that causes “Islamophobia,” blowing up busloads of children, shooting kids in the back at Beslan, and cutting off people’s heads is what makes people look funny at Islam. And one other note to make of this story. Muslim nations and their supposed “moderate” normal leaders like the freakish Saudi “royal” family, all insist they have no desire for a worldwide caliphate, with all nations ruled by sharia law. No, they insist, that is the ranting of crazies like Osama. This OIC statement, however, belies that claim, revealing quite directly a wish for sharia law, including the ban on depictions of Muhammad, and the Islamic rules about offense and portrayal, prevail in the west.

That, my friends, is the essence of a worldwide caliphate.

What we need to happen here (specific to the Mohammed cartoon fiasco)is to have apparel bearing the representation of Mohammed to become ubiquitous. Sweat pants with a picture of the prophet instead of the word “Juicy” on the rear. Sweatshirts, T-shirts, and sports gear of all types (especially soccer balls) displaying the likeness of Mohammed. We need a worldwide fashion trend! Hopefully that would be enough to make radical Muslims’ heads explode. The moderate ones will *adjust*.

That wasn’t nice, was it? I’m not anti-Muslim, but I absolutely am anti-lunatic murder and I’m tired of this!

Maybe that apparel move wouldn’t be a bad idea; with risque items suggesting what the provocative virgins of jihadists would look like. Maybe a few other accoutrements and toys, maybe condoms with Muhammed’s face (flavored?), packages of fortune cookies with the more arbitary ‘suras’, cologne called ‘Hirsute’. Think of the men’s underwear line – There are more than women’s I think – with Khaleed Shiek Mohamed in settings wearing sports bikinis or (ugh) thongs. I guess we could look at any of the ‘How-to-dress-by-picture-books’ and superimpose their myth on public fantasies.
(Frankly, the people who dress as pictures just shouldn’t.)

This is something of a Pyrrhic victory. The news media is still pretty much afraid to show these pictures. They’re very brave in revealing sensitive information that aids our enemies and threatens America, not to mention their endless slander of America, but they carefully self-censor when it comes to material that might offend the murderers in our midst. Terrorism continues to pay off.

  4. The fact that this had to go to trial only shows how much we’ve lost.

Remember – the Crusades were only an effort to retake the Holy Lands from muslim invaders.

“The fact that this had to go to trial only shows how much we’ve lost.”

It never went to trial. The court dismissed it, as it rightly should have.

A “phobia” is an irrational fear of something or someone. There’s nothing irrational about opposing the practice of Islam, and all that it stands for.

And what’s not to dislike: misogyny, polygamy, women subservient to men, killing Jews, converting infidels, sharia law, eulogizing suicide bombers, anti-capitalist, preaching and practising hate, and so forth.

The more interesting thing is why the otherwise religion hating liberals and leftists are now such big Islamophiles

Maybe these are the 57 States Obama was thinking about?

When the controversy over the teddy bear happened, I adopted a kitten and named it Muhammad. The best part is that the cat is female.
