That’s inherently different than conceding the race. You know I hope she runs an independent campaign, which would be the overall best scenario for the conservative agenda. I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but I’ll have more on what this means here and on Tammy Radio. In the meantime, as voters go to the polls in the last two remaining Democrat primaries–South Dakota and Montana–here’s some coverage.

Clinton may be ready to back Obama

The titanic struggle for the Democratic candidacy neared its end Tuesday with final voting expected to push Hillary Clinton aside and usher in Barack Obama as the first ever black U.S. presidential nomination for a major political party. Two senior Clinton campaign officials told The Associated Press she will concede Tuesday night or early Wednesday that Obama has done enough to secure the Democratic nomination, but she will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race.

Just minutes later, campaign chairman Ted McAuliffe told CNN that Clinton will not concede at a New York rally being held after voting closes in Montana and South Dakota.

I doubt it, but we’ll see.

Hillary could be the re-incarnation in spirit of one of the last Democrat conservatives. She could take her run independently with someone like former Rep. Ford, (Nunn has endorsed Obama – Damnit) and, traumatize the DNC into real time.

I have been thinking for months that she should run on an independent ticket, (a la Lieberman and the Ned Lamont fiasco.) I have to say I really respect Hillary’s toughness and resilience through these primaries, where the Democratic party leaders have all but hung her out to dry. Despite all of her negatives, she has a rare common sense and sense of the practical, something that most people in our culture can only guess at, or wonder the value. She should never commit to the Democratic Party in any sense again, after what they have done to her! The best outcome of tonight’s speech, is that she goes on her own path!

Now according to the AP Hillary has told NY lawmakers that she’s open to running as Obama’s VP “if it will help the Democrat Party”. How selfless.
