John Bolton defends Palin’s foreign policy cred
Contends Alaska governor’s ‘executive energy’ critical to success

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Former U.N. ambassador John Bolton says Sen. Barack Obama’s criticism of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s lack of foreign policy experience could backfire, insisting the presumptive vice-presidential nominee’s executive experience would serve her well in the White House.

“I don’t understand why the Obama campaign would want to make that an issue, which to me just calls attention to his own lack of experience in foreign policy,” Bolton told WND at the Republican National Convention…Bolton also argued that if the Republican ticket wins, Palin will have an opportunity in the administration to increase her knowledge and involvement in foreign affairs.

“I think you put your strength at the number one position and groom your successor in the number two position,” Bolton said. “You don’t do it the other way around.”

As I was watching coverage of the RNC on Teusday,I wondered why the Left seemed so upset over Sarah Palin. If she really is as inexperienced as they seem to think she is,you would think they’d be doing cartwheels with excitement, certain that Obama will have no problem winning the election. Instead, liberals and the media seem genuinely angry! The reason for this,in my opinion,is because of the strong possibility that the Republican ticket will win. And the fact that if she becomes a Vice President, she will be in a strong position to run for president in 20016. The thought that it could be the GOP,and not the Democrats, that give America it’s first female president,is driving them bonkers. All the more reason to vote for McCain/Palin!

The Dem Senate will still never confirm Bolton as anything, but I’d love to see him as McCain’s Chief of Staff and/or National Security Adviser–White House Staff positions that don’t require confirmation.

I hope to God all the handlers, speech writers, and other background dweebs don’t try to reshape Sarah today. Her authenticity, obvious energy, and double-strength female charm are all she needs to wow those who haven’t yet heard her. I also hope she follows her own instincts regarding the gossips (who in a more practical time would have spent a few days in the pillory taking fast-pitch vegetables in the face) trying to destroy her and her family so that no one else ever dares to challenge the insider elite.
