The Quote of the Week “my friends” 🙂

“He said, ‘Tell me what the right thing to do is. What’s the right thing for America? Don’t tell me what’s popular. You tell me what’s right — I’ll figure out how to sell it.'”

This is Bill Clinton at an Obama rally describing Barky’s reaction to the Wall Street meltdown–completely clueless about what was happening but insistent he could “sell” whatever his Booster Seats told him.

Wow.

Bill Clinton: Obama Got Lots of Help on Economic Crisis Response

Barack Obama cultivated the image of a cool and collected leader during the height of the economic crisis last month, when lawmakers on Capitol Hill scrambled to draft a workable bailout package after a meltdown on Wall Street.

And when John McCain suspended his campaign to dive head first into the fray, Obama’s campaign accused the Republican of being “unsteady.”

But to hear Bill Clinton tell it, the Democratic nominee didn’t quite have a handle on the situation himself.

“I haven’t cleared this with him and he may even be mad at me for saying this so close to the election, but I know what else he said to his economic advisers (during the crisis),” Clinton told the crowd at a Wednesday night rally with Obama in Florida. “He said, ‘Tell me what the right thing to do is. What’s the right thing for America? Don’t tell me what’s popular. You tell me what’s right — I’ll figure out how to sell it.'” […]

The seeming praise may come off as a backhanded compliment, especially since Obama repeatedly accuses McCain of admitting he doesn’t know much about the economy. McCain’s campaign said Clinton’s remark shows Obama was uncertain when Wall Street seemed to be on the verge of crumbling.

“Barack Obama had no idea what the right thing to do is or at least that’s Bill Clinton’s impression,” McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb said.

“It’s disturbing that … Barack Obama’s response to this is ‘Tell me what to do and I will sell it,'” Goldfarb added. “That’s been Barack Obama’s entire campaign — is one big sales job.”

This has got to be probably one of the most passive aggressive attacks I have seen in the political world in a long, long time. So you Hillary Voters, in case you were upset that Bill was ‘campaigning’ for Obama, let’s just say I think he was sending a very strong message that it shouldn’t be taken seriously. And neither should Obama.

I knew it! I just knew it! Gosh I’m starting to like ol’ Slippery Bill!

Here another great Bill quote from that article: “[Obama] can be the chief executor of good intentions as president.” “

The ‘public’ statement from BO was, “If you need me, call me.”

So self important! sheesh Better off calling Joe the plumber!

  3. I am about to proclaim something I NEVER imagined I would say. Here it comes, “I LOVE BILL CLINTON!”

I’m afraid that “Slick Willie”, is old news. The extreme left wing of the Dems., have found their Messiah and it ain’t Bill.
The Clintons and their followers have been paying lip service to the Obama campaign for a while now. Their strategy, as I see it, is to get him defeated and put Hill and Bill back in the driver’s seat.

This was great, Tammy! I absolutely agree with you about the message Bill was sending. I have never once believed that Bill and Hillary are whole heartedly backing the Messiah. I have never gotten that impression from the Clintons. It probably amounts to nothing more than a business deal meaning that the Messiah offered to pay off some of Hillary’s campaign debt if they campaign for him…which doesn’t mean that they have to actually vote for him. And honestly, the Clintons may be somewhat shady (perhaps I’m putting that lightly), however, there’s a lot of bad blood between Hillary and the Messiah because of the way he and his campaign treated her in the primaries and I cannot even imagine that Bill and Hillary would actually vote for the Messiah. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe not.

By the way, Tammy, I realized you were the one who wrote the “update” regarding the Messiah’s primetime appearance after I commented. I was in a hurry. I said, “Great post, Pat” when I commented…that should have went to you. Pat, you always have great posts though – so does Maynard. I appreciate all of you, but I just wanted to make that correction.

Thanks for always working hard to get the truth out, everyone! It is much appreciated!

Bill Clinton is absolutely excellent at passive aggressive. He hurt Gore by his lack of attention to that campaign. He hurt Hillary by talking about himself and loosing his temper. He has said a couple of other things that didn’t reflect well on Obama before this. What he’s telling us is that Obama had no idea what to do in response to the crisis. We can further see that, although the jackass had no clue what to do himself, he and his campaign criticized McCain for going right to work in response to the crisis.

Bill fits one of your favorite phrases quite nicely: “Malignant narcissist.”

  7. NavajoSierra says:

This just goes to show AGAIN how stupid Barky is to even ask Bill/Hillary for campaign support; every single time Bill has supposedly gone out to shill for Barky, he has dropped one of these Freudian bloopers! It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall watching the Clintons cast a vote on Tuesday!

What Billy-Bob will sell, is the last vestage of entrepenuerism down the river, to exchange it for a national socialist government/media/industrial complex. Kind of a high tech feudalism. We’re here to see it all unfold before us.

    Tammy,
This email from our Irish friends is for you and your fans.

An email from Ireland to all of their brethren in the States… a point to ponder, despite your political affiliation:

‘We, in Ireland, can’t figure out why you people are even bothering to hold an election in the United States. On one side, you had a pants wearing female lawyer, married to another lawyer who can’t seem to keep his pants on, who just lost a long and heated primary against a lawyer, who goes to the wrong church, who is married to yet another lawyer, who doesn’t even like the country her husband wants to run!

Now…On the other side, you have a nice old war hero whose name starts with the appropriate ‘Mc’ terminology, married to a good looking younger woman who owns a beer distributorship!!

What in God’s name are ya lads thinkin’ over in the colonies?!

  10. BiasedGirl says:

I don’t know why the MSM insists that all Clinton Dems will vote for Obama, when it’s pretty clear Bill and Hill will be voting for McCain.

  11. Benjamin Weil says:

If Bill and Hillary really wanted to support Obama they would have done a better job of campaigning. Personally Hillary can smell a rat look who she is married to.
