After being told over and over again that we needed amnesty for Mexicans here illegally because they were doing jobs Americans wouldn’t do (like construction, for example), Barkey is suddenly being praised for the genius idea of his big-spending plan to save the economy and jobs. By creating construction jobs. Maybe you can explain how last year and the year before Washington’s Elite said you wouldn’t be willing to pick lettuce for $50 an hour, but now you’ll be willing to dig a ditch for maybe $10 an hour. After all, that too involves hard work, bending up and down, and sweating a bit. Amazing how things change. I thought we hit rock bottom with a 9% approval for Congress. I’m curious to see how low it will go in 2009.

Wall Street extends big rally to 2nd session

Wall Street extended its rally into a second session Monday as investors grew optimistic that President-elect Barack Obama’s plan for a huge infrastructure spending package will help boost the crippled economy. The Dow Jones industrial average rose more than 250 points.

Obama announced over the weekend plans for the largest U.S. public works spending program since the creation of the interstate highway system a half-century ago. That could bolster the economy by putting thousands of people to work building schools and other construction projects.

That helped to give a lift to a range of companies, from machinery makers to materials producers. Alcoa Inc., the world’s biggest aluminum producer, surged 13 percent on the news; while heavy-equipment maker Caterpillar Inc. soared 14 percent.

And, of course, any Wall Street rally is due to the Light of The One, but all those massive declines have nothing to do with him.

Anything that comes out of the little boys mouth will be spun gold by the media. Everything good and positive that happens will be the genius of B. Hussein. All the bad things that happen will be the result of the lingering failed, catastrophic, miserable policies of the evil Bush administration.
The media will be having a non stop orgy these next four years. If we survive that long.

In the 30s a construction project could employ hundreds if not thousands of Labor types with Picks, Shovels, Mules and Fresno scrapers with a million Dollars or so.
Today that same Million would Employ a Mechanical Excavator with an Operator for about 6 months.
The vast array of Regulatory Agencies assure that the Obama Infrastructure plan will become the Lawyers Employment Security Act.
