Pat S. touches upon another health Stealth Bomb in her excellent post, and I wanted to follow up with the stunning revelation of the extent of Orwellian ‘health’ Nazism jammed into the Crap Sandwich. There is a strange urgency among the left for this piece of sh** to get passed. Perhaps one of the reasons Barkey and his comrades are pushing to hard for it to go fast is because they wanted us to miss gems like this. Make it your Must Read for the Day and get back on those phones to those zombies in DC and demand they stop this unmitigated disaster.

Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan

The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.

But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.” […]

Hospitals and doctors that are not “meaningful users” of the new system will face penalties. “Meaningful user” isn’t defined in the bill. That will be left to the HHS secretary, who will be empowered to impose “more stringent measures of meaningful use over time” (511, 518, 540-541) […]

What penalties will deter your doctor from going beyond the electronically delivered protocols when your condition is atypical or you need an experimental treatment? The vagueness is intentional. In his book, Daschle proposed an appointed body with vast powers to make the “tough” decisions elected politicians won’t make.

The stimulus bill does that, and calls it the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research (190-192). The goal, Daschle’s book explained, is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs. He praises Europeans for being more willing to accept “hopeless diagnoses” and “forgo experimental treatments,” and he chastises Americans for expecting too much from the health-care system.

Something else that bothers me about the Democrat’s health care policies is the negative image attached to excessive child births. Just look at the big deal being made over Angela Suleman’s octuplets. While I agree that she should not have kids if she’s not in a position to support them,I don’t believe the government should set limits on the number of children women can have. It smacks too much of Communist China. For the most part, this octuplet mom is being portrayed in a negative light. And recently,Nancy Pelosi herself made comments to the effect that children were a problem for states trying to control healthcare costs. And also,an article from the Daily Telegraph in Britain quoted a government adviser suggesting that families with more than two children were irresponsible(http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,24995444-5006003,00.html). Read the article and you’ll notice striking similarities to Nancy Pelosi’s comments on the subject. As we all know, the Democrats are moving the United States towards a more European-style government and this is further proof.

England does this socialized mediciane crap. Worked with a “mature” British subject who had a knee replaced. Badly botched job – as pronounced by another UK ‘doktor’. Then it appears she was advised no fix and no recourse since she wasn’t young enough to be a long term contributor – only prospect for relief from pain and suffering for years to come would be a trip to the States to pay for repairs. At least one country in the world will not do much, or anything, to ensure survival of premature babies – too expensive in both near and long term for the government provided health care system. And, wasn’t it in our very own Oregon where a lady was prescribed cancer medication and the socialized medicine office said no, because no guarantee it would work the second time arouond; but, they would pay for assisted suicide. Apparently the pharmaceutical company stepped in and provided the meds since the all caring, all seeing, all knowing state refused to do. Be very afraid! I, for one, do not want the government telling me or my doctor how treatment should be done. Sadly this appears to be a very comfy self soothing philosophical exercise for the rich politicians sitting in thier soft chairs inside the beltway.

I ascribe less sinister motives to Obama’s drive to get the “stimulus” package passed quickly. I don’t think he knows very much nor cares what’s in it. All he knows is it meets the $800 billion amount he set for it. It’s sounding like he didn’t “craft” the legislation like people thought he was earlier, but rather let the nincompoops in the House do that. He sees it as his job to sell it. End of story. It’s what he does best. I’m beginning to suspect it’s all he knows how to do well.

David Axelrod helped Deval Patrick become governor of Massachusetts in 2006, using the message of “hope” and “change” (the very same as was used for Obama’s campaign–it’s amazing how similar their campaign rhetoric was. You can read about it at http://www.floppingaces.net/2008/02/19/the-obama-sham/). In fact, the profiles of Patrick and Obama are similar. They’re both black, and they were both inexperienced before they got their executive positions.

What’s happened with Patrick sounds like what’s happening with Obama. The legislature runs the state. Patrick just rubber stamps what they give him.

All this will come in handy when Ms. Pelosi and Comrade Reid decide that Euthanization Of Non Contributing Seniors is the way to salvage Social Security and Medicare. Non Contributing Seniors being those who consume more resources than they pay in.
