The Dems warned us through the campaign season of Obama’s lack of experience and incompetence.

And now after six short weeks, it’s becoming painfully obvious how right they were.

Barack Obama ‘too tired’ to give proper welcome to Gordon Brown

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been “overwhelmed” by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest…Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president’s surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.

A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama’s inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to “even fake an interest in foreign policy”. […] The American source said: “Obama is overwhelmed. [Maybe they should cut down on the partying?] There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda…

“The one real serious flaw I see in Barack Obama is that he thinks he can manage all this,” the well-known figure told a Washington official, who spoke to this newspaper. “He’s underestimating the flood of things that will hit his desk.” A Democratic strategist, who is friends with several senior White House aides, revealed that the president has regularly appeared worn out and drawn during evening work sessions with senior staff in the West Wing and has been forced to make decisions more quickly than he is comfortable.

He said that on several occasions the president has had to hurry back from eating dinner with his family in the residence and then tucking his daughters in to bed, to conduct urgent government business.

So let me see if I understand this–This 47-year-old man is exhausted because he has to deal with the economy and every other issue the president has to deal with, in addition to having to eat dinner with his family. This compared to the 70-year-old Ronald Reagan who came into office with a much worse economy and an evil enemy, and was shot after just 69 days in office. Yet somehow in the years that followed The Old Man managed not only to get everything done including saving the economy and defeating the Soviet Union he did it all not getting overwhelmed, weary strained or, uh, freakishly socialist.

And Barkey’s not the only one. Even the NYT has noticed that Obama’s Tax Cheat Treasury Chief Geithner is also overwhelmed and “scrambling.” Looks like a zombie doesn’t fall far from the tree. Top that off with Warren Buffet, an early Obama supporter, has publicly stated Geithner’s “muddled” message is hurting the economy.

He chose one heck of a job for his first! Gee, he actually has to be present and DO something. I do not understand what in gawds name he was thinking when he decided to play POTUS. He’s simply delusional but WE all knew that! And now were stuck with this nimrod (& et al) who is growing tired after being in office for less that two months!

In all seriousness (that is, not just looking for any excuse to dump on the guy), I thought it was weird when Obama explained his “58 state” gaffe by saying he was tired. People in that position have got to have the stamina to be “on” whenever the situation requires it. It’s tough, but I imagine they adapt by grabbing catnaps between sessions or other such tricks. Did we ever see John McCain being less than 100%? If we hadn’t been oft-reminded of McCain’s age, we would have forgotten it entirely.

I was also hugely impressed by the way George Bush dodged that shoe in Iraq. Did you see that video? He made it look so easy: The throw was fast and accurate, but Bush just ducked exactly as much as the situation required, and then was immediately standing tall again. The second shoe was less accurate, and it barely phased Bush. And this was without warning. How many of you could handle the situation with that degree of aplomb? It may sound weird, but Bush actually made me proud to be an American that day. Yeah, throw your shoes, you worthless jackasses! Our man can take it!

Hmmm, it seems to me Mr. Obama would be an excellent target for a pie in the face.

Yep, just what talkin horse said. Like the sayin’ goes, “if you can’t stand the heat, get (…the “BLEEP”…) out of the kitchen”. We knew he wasn’t suited for the job. Tried to tell people. They said, basically, screw you, we want change. Yeah, real change. Clinton reruns. He’s tired of the pace? To borrow a sayin’ from Michelle, “well boo freakin’ hoo!”. Yep, we’re screwed. God help us. “We The People” put US in harm’s way this time. Where’s Sheriff Andy when you need him? Lone Ranger? Roy? Gene? Oh, oh. Gonna take a BIG screwdriver to unscrew this screw up.

It’s my understanding that he bought the guy 25 DVD’s, not taking the time to realize that Brown is blind in one eye and nearly so in the other.
    That is pretty callous.

My wife has gone blind in one eye, and fighting to keep her sight in the other. It is a rather overwhelming reality, and I am certain Brown had to feel slighted, given the amount of thought that went into the beautiful and special gifts he presented as one head of state to another… gifts that were presidential and appropriate.

Let’s see, what could those DVD’s have been?
My guess is that they included such special productions as:
    1. Jungle Fever
    2. Malcolm X
    3. Ali
    4. Sucker Free City

It’s dangerous to assume Obama doesn’t know what he’s doing or that he’s incompetent. I believe Obama’s upbringing and education have prepared him for his current position and that economic panic is a deliberately chosen tactic. It worked for Vladamir Lenin. Obama thinks it will work for him.

In case you’ve missed the show review the history of how Jimmy Carter helped legitimize the election of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and how Chavez piece by piece dismantled Venezuelan society. Dictatorship is within Obama’s reach.

He is not “of the people.”
