Chronicling B. Hussein Obama’s war on America

If you want a sense of what Obama’s nationalized ‘health care’ would do to people, take a look at this report from Canada. They’re all concerned up there because they haven’t really been able to reduce patient wait times for critical care, you know, for things like cancer. Their strategy? Kick patients out of hospital beds too soon. (HT Marlee D)

This story should horrify every American and reinforce the importance of stopping Obama’s plans to destroy our nation’s healthcare system. Look, we know he’s killing the economy, let’s not let that ridiculous fool kill us, too.

Doctors’ group reports ‘spotty progress’ in easing patient wait times

Wait times improved slightly in five priority areas last year, but the time it takes patients to actually receive care remains shrouded in mystery, a coalition of medical experts said Thursday.

The fourth annual report card by the Wait Time Alliance, titled Unfinished Business, found only “spotty progress” has been made in reducing wait times in the five areas that the federal government and the provinces and territories agreed to…hip and knee replacements, cataract surgery, radiation oncology, cardiovascular surgery and diagnostic imaging like MRIs…

The NHS set the maximum allowable target time for referral by a family doctor to day of treatment at 18 weeks, but many medical specialties in Canada don’t come close to that, according to the report.

In March, British physician Dr. Matthew Cooke told doctors in Alberta that NHS spent roughly $1 billion to create thousands of beds in nursing homes so sick and elderly patients could be moved out of hospitals. .

Yes, you’ve read this right–they spent $1 billion not to create more hospital beds but to create nursing home beds. Why? So they can move sick patients out of hospitals to move newly sick people in. In other words, they’re sending sick people off to die in order to free up those beds.

Why not spend that money for hospital beds? Because the goal is not to expand treatment so all who are sick can receive treatment; the goal is to end treatment, free up beds, and save money while reducing newly sick patients’ ‘waiting times.’

Equally disturbing is how this Canadian Broadcasting Corp article reports this without a blink or a shocked tone. The matter-of-fact delivery of this news is stunning.

And one other little gem brought to you by government-run health care:

The benchmark for waiting at an emergency department was set at six hours in 95 per cent of the most urgent cases. The median wait time for patients to be seen and discharged was almost six hours and the average wait was nearly nine hours.

And the average time for admission was 23 hours, often because of the inability to find an available hospital bed, according to the report.

Canadians tend to forget that the U.S. healthcare system is, in fact, their safety net. I have a Canadian colleague that would go on and on about their healthcare, so I asked him what happens if he had an orthopoedic injury skiing or something, non-life threatening, but homebound, and had to sit on a waiting list? He might lose his job. Without realizing what he was saying he answered; “Well, I’d go have surgery in the States”. He realized he’d made my point when the room errupted in laughter.

Countless people come to USA from all over the world to get access to our superior system of healthcare. The other nations consider our system to be enviable in its accessibility. We cannot afford to let this administration take away the freedom to choose who will treat us and when. There are many things this groups of nitwits has done in the last 6 months to convince me that my lack of belief that they would ‘get away with’ some of the things they have was misguided and naive. I don’t intend to allow this change to occur. I am just one voice, but I will shout from the rooftops in defense of my right to have access to my doctors when and how I chooose. I have a daughter whose health depends on it. Let’s get serious about this issue America. Look at the VA, Medicare and Medicaid, if you need examples of what government run healthcare is. They can promise all day that they won’t mess with private insurer business but how many lies have we been fed so far? I can’t keep up and if I start naming them off, my head will explode.

You are so right on. My husband is a disabled Veteran. He has Parkinson’s Disease among other health problems.
He is lucky to see his Primary Dr. twice a year. His healthcare is free as are his drugs. Even the drugs are chosen for him.
As the VA does not administer all types. He has no choice of Dr. and limited treatment. It is VA run healthcare. (Government). It is less than satisfactory. I as a spouse have free healthcare, and can choose my Dr. A plus for me.

    True Story:
The internet chat rooms give you access to foreign countries such as England and even Canada if you are so inclined.
In chat I was chat friends with a woman who’s father had been an M.P.,. She had to wait weeks for a hospital bed and her needed surgery. She would complain about having high fevers and could only eat Tomato soup. I wondered about the acidy soup but she insisted that was all she could hold down. Anyway, I stayed up all one night on the phone and in chat with her as she cried from the pain. I asked over and over again why she did not just call an ambulance and go into an emergency room. She said she had done that twice and they just sent her back home. Almost as if it were an elective surgery. We sometimes have to wait for electives ourselves but hers seemed to be rather acute to me.
She finally did go to hospital ( as they say in England) . I lost track of her but at least she lived.

I am still left shaking my head at that experience. I speak out against everything bama does. This advocacy of his of Universal Socialized Health Care like in England is especially grating to me. He has done NO RESEARCH. He does not listen to any of us. Contrast that about bama with President George Bush having listening meetings with women from Iraq who said life there was not so peachy keen for women (think rape rooms) under Saddam. It seemed to me the President was receptive and reacted accordingly. As I have noted before the bama’s listening meetings are with Tiger Woods for his golf swing lessons and with people who know where the best date nights are located. It reminds me of the reasoning of a six year old. Or a very stupid ,insipid potentate.

We can live longer ignoring the bambam and his sick ” gallows humor.” Literally and figuratively.

While reading the article, I grew angry reading the total lie about our healthcare system being somehow worse than what is taking place in Canada – that we have 46 million people under age 65 uninsured, the highest mortality rate of infants, spend more on healthcare per capita, make our healthcare too expensive, etc. Unless the people in these countries actually come here and utilize our facilities, they have no clue about the truth! I’ve had enough arguments w/ Canadians – some of them distant relatives – to know they only repeat what they read in their papers or hear on tv – sort of like a certain voting contingent in the US.

I agree, Lawmom90, that we have to stop this. In fact, there are protests about healthcare being organized as I write this. The protests will occur in front of representatives offices around the country on July 17. Don’t be silent on this or any other issue, peeps! We have work to do!

      46 million, 47 million.. 50 million.. it’s all a twisted figure.

Let’s start out with the real number. 47 million. Gosh, that sounds like a lot of people. Maybe enough to scare people into letting socialists the best healthcare system in the world into a crippled, rationed, long-waiting listed disaster?

Let’s look at that number… 47 million.. wow.

A Census Bureau report “Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2005,” puts the initial number of uninsured people living in the country at 46.577 million

A closer look at the Census data include 9.487 million people who are “not a citizen.” (we all know it’s more than that, too…) Subtracting the 10 million non-Americans, the number of uninsured Americans falls to roughly 37 million.

According to the same Census report, there are 8.3 million uninsured people who make between $50,000 and $74,999 per year and 8.74 million who make more than $75,000 a year. That’s roughly 17 million people who ought to be able to afford health insurance because they make substantially more than the median household income of $46,326.

As Tammy said on a past show.. “Maybe it’s time to stop buying the Jack Daniels..”

“Many Americans are uninsured by choice,” wrote Dr. David Gratzer in his book “The Cure: How Capitalism Can Save American Health Care.” Gratzer cited a study of the “nonpoor uninsured” from the California Healthcare Foundation.

“Why the lack of insurance [among people who own homes and computers]? One clue is that 60 percent reported being in excellent health or very good health,” explained Gratzer.

Subtracting non-citizens and those who can afford their own insurance but choose not to purchase it, about 20 million people are left – less than 7 percent of the population.

Many others are young, and don’t even want or need it or care– their choice.

Also, government statistics also show 45 percent of those without insurance will have insurance again within four months after job transitions.

One big lie that promotes more government control in your life.

My sister-in-law is a northeast liberal from Boston. She’s a pediatrician, and she works in a low income health clinic. The brother-in-law is a surgeon. She was an Obamamaniac until this healthcare thing started to fester. Now she can’t stand the big “O”. I said something about the banking system, disregarding contract law and property rights. She said she doesn’t care about those things, and does not know anything about those things. I finally said: “It gives some new perspective on his competence when he mucks around in your area of expertice, but have you considered the fact that many others with different areas of expertise also think he’s incompetent and possibly dangerous?” She drinks the koolade no more.

We have to stay on top of this bill and the cap and trade bill to make sure that we do all that we can to defeat them or at least stall them until we get to vote again.
Obama is creating all of his phoney crisis nonsense to make the drones believe that if we dont pass them right now then the world ends.
The drones say we are not sure but what if the world does end? why dont we give him time.
We cant give him time because once passed, both of these bills are irreversable and he knows that if he does not get them passed before we vote again then they will Never pass.
Because the world Will not end, and his crisis scenerio will be exposed, just like the stimulas packages.
Burn the phones up guys and gals, we can do this.

I’ve worked in Health Care in an acute care medical center for the last 22 years. While I have always embraced our Catholic Mission of providing care to all, and with dignity, I might add, I have seen our
mission abused by the countless scores of illegal immigrants using our facility as their local doctors
office. From the gang bangers dropped at the door by their “homies” to the women having one baby after another, year after year, to the drug abusers seeking another shot to get high, I have become jaded,
disillusioned and even downright disgusted. While I pay into an HMO, and have for over 30 years to get
my health care, I watch as these folks bankrupt not only the state of California, but the healthcare
    system in general.
No one EVER asks that these people PAY for their medical care – the hospital writes it off, or gets
federal funds to provide it. As we teeter in the red zone, and have lay-off after lay-off, I can only
think that we have just lost our minds… And there’s no pill or shot to fix that.
We’ve done SUCH a WONDERFUL job running these programs so far, just WAIT until they run it all.

it’s all about power and control and has no basis in politicians giving a damn about anyone’s health. once you give up control over your body- or it’s taken by the government against your will- what do you have left? when you have no money because you have no job because the economy has been destroyed and you can’t afford energy for the basic necessities of life and you have to depend on the government to sustain yourself you effectively become a slave to the state. a drone.

as jello biafra said so well all those years ago- “zen fascist will control you/ 100 % natural/ you will jog for the master race/ and wear a happy face”.

it says something quite sad and pathetic about people that they would so willingly go into the shackles and on to the leash. it’s ironic and actual quite insane that those who wailed and moaned about george bush being a nazi taking away all their freedoms, one by one as if they were living in a russian gulag or nazi concentration camp, lay back all starry eyed and dewy with gratitude while obama and his Demotools really do try to take away their very right to their livelihoods and their lives. i am not fooled for one damn second- they’re giddy sick with their perceived power over other people- not with all the bad evil bush things they claim they overturned and changed with obama’s election. they don’t want change. they want complete control.

the constitutionally defined role of government is not to provide bread and circuses to a mass of ignorant lazy zombies( that’s hollywood’s job, thank you…). the federal government and all it’s branches need to be reminded of this and people need to wake right up and realize they are the ones in control.

I am 100% convinced that the democratic socialist obama agenda wants us to all die. They are the Borg Collective, with the resistance is futile attitude. Look at bill HR2749 and CODEX, this is all about keeping us from growing our own foods in our backyards, soon it will be illegal to own a cow and milk it. The idea of keeping citizens from quality healthy foods says everything.

Odumbo has given the FDA; Facist Dictatorship Administration (F***ing Dumb**** Administration as well) more power, they have been dying to make all health food supplements and protein powders illegal for years. Are any of you aware of the BIDEN BILL?? Joe Biden idiot Nazi, wants to make Vitamin C ILLEGAL!!

We are not allowed to be healthy. I can see it now; armed FDA agents coming into grocery stores making sure we do not have any access to orange juice and oranges.. It is obvious to me that the pharmaceutical companies cannot make a profit off of people who are not dependant on their drugs, hence healthy people independent of the pharmaceutical companies and the need for health insurance (why they want to mandate it now…they need our money, they want us more poorer and weaker) these companies cannot make a profit off of vitamin/mineral supplements, or healthy people. Remember when they went after creatine, (they are still trying to make that illegal) now they are going after Cheerios!!

I have another question; Why does FEMA have a sudden need for a zillion coffins?

The democrats legislations are forcing US citizens into poverty, whereby it also forces us into illness, and physical weakness, this ensalves us. The zombie odumbo supporter bots are already mindless drones and have obviously eased into the assimilation process, I on the otherhand will not comply!
