Charlie Brown. I wonder what he's listening to?

Charlie Brown. I wonder what he's listening to?

The fun thing is Laura Ingraham is the guest host tonight so we should have a terrific exchange. In order to get to Fox time for the taping the last half hour of Tammy Radio is a “Best Of.” I’ll blog and tweet when I get to the studio. Will watch a bit of Urkel’s Bozeman ‘Greenhouse’ event at Fox and then well have some opinions to share 🙂

Send good show vibes!!

That’s great! So glad you will be on with Laura so you can speak your completed thoughts w/o getting the backhanded wave off and/or the one-liner dismissal. Last time you were on, I think it was with Monica, and that went real well IMO.

I will be watching tonight, can’t wait. Laura will want your take on the stacked, pro-Urkel crowds, at his town halls compared to the real people in real town hall meetings. Maybe she will ask you about your take on the latest Urkel talking point that framing all of the real people as hitler-esk hate mongers.

I’d pay to see either Tammy or Laura ask a question at “0”s “Traveling Medicine Show”.

Here is information regarding what could be aphoney story re Sarah Palin having
    a new Twitter account…

I really believe this is a fake Sarah Palin Twitter page… because she has not
announced it herself. If so, then a contributor at CNN is responsible for it.

Maybe someone should check into this as I am just a Conservative Canadian
and a little out of the system so to speak.

Is Palin getting ready to tweet again?
    Posted: August 13th, 2009 07:40 PM ET

From CNN Audience Interaction Producer Eric Kuhn
Palin has been silent on Twitter since leaving office in July.
Palin has been silent on Twitter since leaving office in July.

(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin changed her Twitter account on Thursday to @SarahPalinUSA, abandoning her old username @AKGovSarahPalin.

There has been much speculation about when Palin would begin tweeting again. Since leaving office in July, Palin has been silent on Twitter and has primarily used Facebook to communicate with the public.

No tweets have yet been sent from her new Twitter account.

More than 135,000 people currently follow Palin on Twitter. Those who followed her official gubernatorial account do not have to re-subscribe to her new name. Twitter users who change their names maintain their followers.

Palin Gearing Up to Tweet Again?

She’s been silent since her “last state Twitter” on July 26—but is Sarah Palin gearing up to start tweeting again? Political Ticker reports that Palin finally ditched her @AKGovSarahPalin handle in favor of @SarahPalinUSA, reflecting the former governor’s new status as a political free agent. Since stepping down from office, Palin has favored long-format posts on her Facebook page, where she has written about health care, the death of Eunice Shriver Kennedy, and her favorite political articles. A recent post about “death panels” featured no fewer than 11 footnotes and received nearly 3,000 comments within 24 hours of its first appearance.

Laura and Tammy together is like Superman and Batman teaming up (or is that Supergirl and Batgirl).

  9. JLThorpe says:

Just saw the show. Nice to hear a bunch of the catchphrases – Charlie Brown’s teacher, herding cats, even “Type, type, type, send” made it in. It was cut too short, though, but it was great to see the World’s Finest Team take on the Democrat panelist.

  10. naga5 says:

hey, they left “type, type, type-send” in!!
senator 101 was a brilliant point.
i am a little pissed about that other woman kept talking and fillibustering you. you showed great patience.
    go tammy!

    Hey Tammy,
Just saw you on O’Reilly. It was great, but too bad that you were cut off by Laura – I would have liked to hear more from you and the other lady.
It would be nice if Bill would have you sit in for him. 🙂
I’ll make the suggestion on his website since I’m a member.

    Keep up the good work!!!

  12. morecowbell says:

Saw the O’reilly piece. Why can’t the Dem’s debate the issues? Why do they insist on making it personal? Every time anyone legitimately questions their positions, you would think that had been personally assaulted. …and the logic …. taking exception and using UVa as an example of a government run program. WHAT?? Can’t Fox find at least one analyst to make a coherent argument for the Dem’s, my cat could have done a better job. Type, type, type …send!

    • JLThorpe says:

Along those lines, what about the guy during the segment with Amanda Carpenter making a crack about Palin being on “Flavor of Love”? At least with Tammy comparing Obama to Charlie Brown’s teacher, she’s only saying that Obama is droning on and on. The Palin comment implies she’s a star****er and a wh*re.

By the way, love the Leprechaun guy avatar.

    • jphilarnold says:

Like others, I was frustrated that Tammy did not get more time to express her views, but I was pleased with the “points” she was able to make.

I’m glad that JL posted the comment about the segment with Amanda Carpenter. I think it is priceless! Here is a link to the an article on at C4P that contains the video:

      http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2009/08/laura-ingraham-and-amanda-carpenter.html

I can’t help but wonder how much extra Fox had to pay Matthew Littman to make such a fool of himself in front of such a huge audience! I doubt that Carl Rove himself could have hatched a better plot to make an Obama supporter look stupid. Littman’s performance was so pathetic it is hard for me not to suspect that FOX went to extra effort to find someone they could set up to be sucker punched by Laura and Amanda. The more I watch the more I am enjoying the spectacle of liberals coming unglued.

  13. Tinker says:

Is it just me or these segments actually getting shorter? If it’s going to be that short don’t have three people talking, please. Tammy, you were on target as always… and type, type, type, send!!
I love the 101st Senator nickname for Palin!

Dear Fox News, our attention span goes beyond two minutes. Dick Morris, Rove, and Newt always get really long one on one segments. Laura, Ann… we need one more and her name is Tammy.

  14. Chuck says:

Tammy — excellent job. Loved the way you slipped in the “type-type-type send” and the “organizing cats” lines. Now, time for a well-deserved mojito!

  15. Carol says:

All great points you made. You’re always good. I agree with all the above comments, especially about being cut short. You need to have your own show where you can talk freely 2-3 hours a day for 6 days a week.
Where’s today’s podcast? I didn’t get to listen during work. I wanted to fall asleep with it tonight… not that I mean it’s ever boring, but positive and motivational thoughts to end the day.

Read this worthless excuse for a health care reform bill ……..

Another proposed reform known as “community rating” imposes uniform premiums regardless of health condition. This also blows up the individual insurance market, by making it far more expensive for young, healthy or low-risk consumers to join pools—if they join at all. And if the healthy don’t join risk pools, then premiums go up for everyone and insurers have little choice but to reduce their risk by refusing to cover those who have a high chance of getting sick, such as people with a history of cancer. This is why 35 states today impose no limits whatsoever on how much insurers can vary premiums and six states allow wide variation among consumers.

New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts have both community rating and guaranteed issue. And, no surprise, they have the three most expensive individual insurance markets among all 50 states, with premiums roughly two to three times higher than the rest of the country. In 2007, the average annual premium in New Jersey was $5,326 for singles and in New York $12,254 for a family, versus the national average of $2,613 and $5,799, respectively. ObamaCare would impose New York-type rates nationwide.

There are better ways to go. Tax credits to individuals to buy insurance would make it more affordable and thus strengthen the individual market. Other tax rule changes could also make it easier for people to join and form their own risk pools beyond their employers, such as through business federations, labor unions or, say, the Kiwanis Club. They would no longer be hostage to one job for insurance.

University of Chicago economist John Cochrane also argues that in a more rational individual insurance market, people could insure not merely against medical expenses but also against changes in health status. This kind of insurance would cover the risk of premiums rising as you get older and your health condition changes.

In turn, that would free insurers to compete for the business of all patients, including those with pre-existing conditions, because then they could charge enough to cover the costs—instead of passing them to others. As for those with rare conditions (“orphan diseases”) that require a lifetime of special care and are thus uninsurable, this is where government subsidies could be both appropriate and affordable.

ObamaCare would impose on all 50 states rules that have already proven to be failures in numerous states. Because these mandates would raise the cost of insurance, ObamaCare would then turn around and subsidize individuals to buy the insurance that the politicians made more expensive. Only in government could such irrationality be sold as “reform.”

  17. hungry4food says:

Here’s a little foretaste of the massive fraud in store for us if Dems manage to ram ObamaCare through:
    http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2009/aug/12/audit-clinic-overbilled-medicaid/

    an excerpt:

‘Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest required unnecessary office visits by its poorest patients, a practice that led to excessive payments from the taxpayer-financed Medicaid program, according to a recent audit. The audit also uncovered troubling billing procedures and problems with unauthorized staff prescribing and dispensing birth control pills, said Doug Porter, Washington’s Medicaid director. Medicaid covers the medical bills of poor people throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
The issues amounted to excess Medicaid payments to the clinic totaling $629,143. Interest of 1 percent per month will begin accruing Aug. 20 if the clinic fails to repay the state. Over the three years the audit covered, the clinic collected about $7.7 million from Medicaid.’

The baby-killing industry is booming, thanks to your tax dollar. I’m sure the Planned Parenthood folks can’t wait until ObamaCare turns a fire hose gushing public money in their direction.

  18. daredevilaccordian says:

Good on ya, Tammy. Your counter-point friend just made me laugh. All week long I have been hearing the dem strategists keep saying that the only people that the anti-reform rhetoric resonates with is conservatives… they don’t get it. Here’s the math:
210 million eligible voters in 2008 election
126 million voted in the election
    ______________
    84 million did not vote

I would say it can be assumed that many of those did not vote because they didn’t like the choices.
I would also say that many of those who did not vote were just simply “disaffected.”

I would then go on to say that there is a large percentage of both of those categories who are suddenly don’t like the choices enough to wake up and yell about it, and who are also suddenly realizing that they are indeed about to be “affected” in a big way and aren’t happy about it.

Add to those the 60 million who voted for McCain, and you have a number that is more than “incrementally” larger than the 69 million who voted for Obama. Not to mention the ones who did vote for Obama who are equally as terrified by what he and his vengeful minions are trying to do to overthrow the American way.

They have terribly miscalculated how big the sleeping giant is, and they keep “acting stupidly” doing and saying things to intended to deride, offend and intimidate, only to make the giant angrier and angrier.

All I can say at this point is that I like their tactics. They spell failure upside down and backwards… more power to “acting stupidly” by the dims!

The folks before me are right about your getting in good points.. We have 101 Senators and all of your new coined phrases were spot on. The time went by too fast.

The Democrat Socialist Party member after your spot on O’Reilly really blew his brains out. Saying Palin will date FLAVOR FLAV. He is the one with the big clock on a chain around his neck. (isn’t he?) Poor guy he is rather bitter and clingy looking. Shudder:::::::

We need to get Obama’s favorable ratings down to 39% so it will be hard for him to maintain his Congress in 2010. If it is right he will fall.

    Hey Tammy,

These 5 minute segments don’t do you justice. Especially when you have to share that time with Laura and the other guest. The minute the debate starts, they say time is up. It happens on every talk show. I find it annoying.

I remember a few weeks ago when you were on the Fox interactive program for an hour during the day. The moderator sat back and let you debate the other 2 guys. That was the best….

Did you ever post that video??

  23. thomaslhill says:

A terrible error was made in November of last year. Voters of all stripes are coming to face that fact. I just hope we can continue in our humble fashion and not shout out, “We told you so!” Great job Tammy, catchy phrases become embedded like jingles, type type send… We conservatives believe in rugged individualism, organizing cats is easier. Must be the healthy self esteem that conservatives possess due to our accomplishments and not having to live off of the sweat of others.
Hey liberals, sometimes an accomplishment is defined as just going to work, taking care of our families and paying our own damn bills. Try it, you will like it.

    • jphilarnold says:

Thomas, I know that this may sound outrageous to you at first, but I am not so sure that “A terrible error was made in November of last year.” As I continue to watch the wheels coming off the leftist bandwagon, I am beginning to think that the election of Obama and the democratic sweep of congress may actually be the best thing that could have happened to conservatives in that election. This country has been drifting toward some form of socialist government since well before I was born, and I am no spring chicken. I hate to think of what would have happened if the RINO had been elected president and Sarah had been imprisoned in the dungeon that is the vice presidency. I suspect that in his effort to convince the world that he was a bipartisan maverick, the RINO would have let Congress get away with nearly as much as Obama is letting them get away with. And, the leftists would have managed to blame conservatives for all the harm that would have resulted. At least with Obama in the White House, it is harder for the leftists to blame us for what they are doing. And Sarah is totally free to engage the leftists through her facebook page.

In addition, I fear that many of us conservative “frogs” have been way to comfortable resting in the water as the heat was being turned up under the pot. Obama has turned the water up to a boil causing many of us “frogs” to wake up and jump out of the pot. Only time will tell if enough of us have jumped out of the pot in time to save our country, but I suspect that if the RINO had won last November, we might have all stayed in the pot enjoying the warm water until it was too late for us to jump out.

I have a hard time thinking that there is any way the 2008 election could have turned any better than this. Am I CRAZY? I might just be, and I will not be offended if anyone says that I am. 😉

      • JLThorpe says:

You’re not alone. I’ve thought the same thing myself. With McCain in the White House, it would have been more of the same old, same old we’ve been getting from government and we’d be too complacent to do anything about it. With Obama in the White House, it could give the American people the kick in the ass they need to set things right.

Glad someone else noticed that. Tammy looked genuinely happy, whereas the smiling lib seemed fake and even condescending like, “I’m winning against these backward simpletons, but I’m smiling so I don’t appear to have contempt for them.”. She just demonstrated how well she was indoctrinated by the “government program” she cited. Wonder how long she had that in her hip pocket ready to whip out??

She must think talking faster and louder than her conservative counterpoint makes her right. I just want to smack her! My BAD!!!

Tammy keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you on FOX , defending the American way! You go girl!

  31. Shifra says:

    Tammy,
I gotta chime in here, to agree with all the Peeps. You looked fan-tas-tic, and my first thought was, “Wow! That vitamin D sure is working!” What do we need to do to get you your own show on Fox? All they need to do is get rid of Huckleberry (as you are fond of calling him) and give you that time slot. Yes, you were so gracious when that Lib kept blabbing her talking points, and trying to talk over you…. And you were also gracious on The Strategy Room a few weeks ago, when that Boris character kept babbling. BTW, do you think Boris has adult ADHD, or was he scared of you? I got dizzy watching him move around so much. (He couldn’t sit still for more than ten seconds.) Am still waiting for archive of your first Strategy Room appearance!
