A post by Maynard

Zbigniew Brzezinski was Jimmy Carter’s national security advisor, and a high-profile endorser of Obama. He has no post in the Administration, so he doesn’t directly craft policy and his comments aren’t official; nevertheless he’s not a man to be ignored. His recent Daily Beast interview is…odd.

Brzezinski was considered a relatively “hawkish” and respected Democrat…which doesn’t quite jive with being the security advisor who was on board when Jimmy Carter threw the Shah under the bus and ushered in an era of apocalyptic Iranian terror.

As is often the case with upper-echelon fools, many of Brzezinski’s comments seem carefully considered and reasonable. With respect to Russia and Iran, he notes why it’s in the Russians’ interests to fan the flames of conflict between America and Iran:

The Russians have a complicated agenda with Iran. They also know in the back of their heads that if worse came to worse — and I am not saying they are deliberately promoting the worst — but if worse came to worse, which is an American-Iranian military collision, who would pay the highest price for that? First, America, whose success in ending the Cold War the Russians still bitterly resent. And we would also pay a high price in Iraq, Afghanistan, and massively so with regards to the price of oil. Second, who would suffer the most? The Chinese, who the Russians view as a long-range threat and of whom they are very envious, because the Chinese get much more of their oil from the Middle East than we do, and the skyrocketing price would hurt them even more than us. Third, who would then be totally dependent on the Russians? The West Europeans. And fourth, who would cash in like crazy? The Kremlin.

He then goes on to say that the outcome with respect to international fallout would be pretty much the same if Israel strikes Iran. So we can’t “opt out” of the situation.

The foregoing makes reasonable sense. A military conflict involving Iran will probably spread pain and hardship to combatants and non-combatants alike. We’ve got plenty of reasons to regard a strike as a last resort rather than a good idea.

On the other hand, Iran with nukes and missiles will inevitably lead to a nuclear war in the short- or mid-term; a worse scenario than a preemptive strike. The Iranians aren’t building all that hardware for defensive purposes. But this is where Brzezinski moves into the Twilight Zone, and his rabidly anti-Israeli position comes into focus. In noting that an air route from Israel to Iran would overfly Iraq, he gets aggressive:

We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?

The interviewer follows up by asking, what if Israel overflies Iraq without permission? This seems a stupid question to me; with America controlling the skies over Iraq, nobody is going to overfly without permission. But rather than making that point, Brzezinski turns threatening.

Well, we have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a Liberty in reverse. [“Liberty” is the name of the American warship that was mistakenly attacked by Israel during the ’67 war.]

Brzezinski is saying America should shoot down Israeli jets. Which is insane. Even if Israel were to overfly without permission (which is, as I said, unthinkable) and America wanted to stop them, the secret mission could be ended by simply blowing its cover. Why does this man, who represents our elite leadership, create this scenario to start pounding his chest? Because he’s a maniac!

I noted that Brzezinski doesn’t speak for the Administration, but his reasoning reflects the same warped thinking that is characteristic of Obama: He shrugs off the tangible threats (Iran “…really can’t do much to the Israelis, despite all their bluster”) but is ready to shoot down (literally!) any attempts to destroy those tangible threats. This results in policies that appease our enemies and strangles our friends.

The lunatics are running the asylum. As if you needed additional evidence.

We listen to Carter and his cronies at our peril. Maynard hit the nail on the head. Jimmy Carter and crew gave Radical Islam its first Big Win, and provided the template they would use to destabilize and/or take over susceptible countries throughout the region. People forget that most of the Iranian military sat out the Revolution and waited to see which way the wind was blowing when it was all over. The majority of them had either been trained in the U.S. , or had American instructors in Iran. They were so mistrusted by the radical clerics that the Revolutionary Guard had to be created to counter them, “just in case”. And now B.O. seems hell bent on finding someone to appease or capitulate to, at any cost. First it’s the Missile Shield, then what? Deserting Afghanistan, Taiwan, South Korea? We saw how well throwing an ally under the bus worked in Iran. How different the world would today be if Jimmy Carter had had a backbone. This guy is Jimmy Carter on Crack.

Israeli jets don’t have to fly over Iraq. They can fly over Saudi Arabia.

Brzezinski – Quick to shoot at our allies, unwilling to shoot at our enemies.

It fascinating that every foreign policy formulation since the dawn of civilization eventually involves screwing the Jewish people.

I’m in the middle of listening to Saturday’s podcast and it makes me so proud to be a Conservative.

Listening to Tammy Bruce express her gratitude for the Jewish people, it’s the same gratitude I feel as well and when I listen to the various Conservative people on the radio, they all express the same respect for our (Western) history and the impact of the Jewish people on forming it.

The Left is at war against all of it.

These comments by the unspellable one, Zbigniew Brzezinski, are so ludicrous they can’t be responded too…….

Now we know where Mika Brzezinski gets her stupidity gene–from her father.

Brzezinshi says that if the Israelis fly over our airspace, we can’t just “sit there and watch”. This from the NSA of the administration that sat there and watched while the American embassy was sieged, marines were killed, and American citizens were taken hostage and paraded in humiliation both in the streets and on the airwaves.

I also recall a picture of a beaming Zbigniew Brzezinski at the presentation the short-lived SALT II treaty, which would have further emasculated the United States and allowed the USSR to build even more nuclear weapons (fortunately, at that time, Congress could be counted on to protect us from our enemies and voted it down).

But when it comes to the Israelis, suddenly Brzezinski asserts that “we are not impotent little babies”. This from the National Security Advisor of the Jimmy Carter administration, the most impotent president and presidential administration in the history of the U.S.A.

Tammy, can you imagine what would happen if obama took this advice from ZB? Would it be sugar coating it to say that he’s out of touch? Are these people double agents working for our enemies are or they deranged? That’s enough questions for tonight. By the way , the weekend show was excellent as usual.

Carter and Brzezinski are anti-semites and as such have been cursed by God. It is no wonder they can not see clearly. Check the Book.
