Thanks to the six-minute video that’s gone viral, Allen West is starting to get the national attention he deserves. He was on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show tonight. Lt. Col. West speaks with refreshing clarity about principled leadership and conservative principles. He says we’re losing the understanding that conservatism is the interaction of life, society and governance that advances the individual by adhering to the foundational Constitutional principle of liberty.

The government is extending itself far outside it’s Constitutional responsibilities. West noted that Obama was at a Home Depot today talking about home energy efficiency. That is not the responsibility of the President. The President’s responsibility is to find ways toward America’s energy independence.

How would he grade Obama?

I have to tell you that I think that this president has failed… You look at the stimulus package, he said that if you pass my stimulus package, unemployment will stay below 8%. In the state of Florida, we have unemployment that’s about 11% or a little bit higher. You look at the fact that now we have this cap and trade bill that is sitting out there, which is nothing but behavior modification through taxation. Trying to force America to go to this green agenda. No one talked about the fact that in this year under the Obama administration you seen the highest casualties in Afghanistan and the fact that it took him almost 90 days to figure out what his strategy is going to be was absolutely appalling… I guess this president believes that job creation is giving 22 staffers to his wife.

On the Republican Party:

There is, without a doubt, a sort of internal struggle that’s going on within the Republican Party, about what is the message. What is the thing that is going to become the foundation of this party as it moves forward? You have to go back to understanding Reagan principles, resonate with the limited government, fiscal responsibility, free market solution. More importantly, we have to get away from leadership by entitlement.

It’s amazing how listening to this man eases that tight band squeezing my head every minute of the day since January 20th.

Go Allen West. I do hope and pray that he is a man of integrity and doesn’t go the way of Mark Sanford et al. Don’t lose your way Allen West and practice what you preach!

Michael Brown was on the Great Great Great American panel right after this distinguished American Hero appeared on Hannity. It is disgraceful that he criticized Lt. Col. West and told the audience that he was (some adjective that I cannot now remember) ashamed, dismayed, upset or something similar that the guest would criticize the president. It was almost as if he was saying “c’mon Bro’ you’re being disloyal to a fellow brother.” That’s the kind of racism that pervades the black community and for them to be so open about it is sickening.

Tax and spend, career politician, lawyer-lobbyist, ultra wealthy, guard gated and concrete walled community living, West Boca Raton resident, Ronald Klein (our current congressman) knows all too well — every day closer to the 2010 mid term elections is another step towards the inevitable “de-Klein” of our Florida Congressional District 22.
