What to do with the dead behemoth known as health insurance reform? The American people don’t want it but nothing will deter the Democrats. Not now. They pursued the great whale their whole lives. They have never been closer. If drastic measures are required, so be it. They know best and they are determined to disseminate the benefits to all. They believe you will love the results, just wait and see.

Not exactly Moby Dick, but I think you’ll enjoy the symbolism.

A destructive shower of stinking blubber that no self-respecting seagull will come near. Get ready for disaster.

Summit of Lies and Liars exposed Representative Louise Slaughter. She lives in a nearby congressional district. The hag is 80 years how time flies. She needs to be called back home to her upscale suburb. There is no one there who cannot afford Heath Care so they are forced to wear a dead person’s dentures. Lies abounded at the summit. Pathetic and a waste of our time.
I wrote what I found out about Slaughter here.
I think 20 years ago I worked and voted for Louise . Before my conversion and 9/11. She is 80 now and more senile than I am.

So the democrats are going to use the summit to show that Republicans dont want reform and they must push ahead with what the people want (they dont know it yet but they will want it once it passes). They used the very accurate CBO (they certainly have an excellent record on scoring bills, like medicare and medicaid). Democrats also use the wonderful anecdotes to prove that we want and need this healthcare. Insurance companies are evil because they try to enforce contracts. People are using the teeth of corpses because our health system is so bad (how much is the new healthcare plan paying towards dentures? Can someone even fit the dentures of someone else in their mouth and use them? Can we get this woman’s name so we can send her money, I will offer if they can actually produce this person).

I agree with Tammy on this one, go for it dems! You should make all of your anecdotal citizens very happy. I know they can get some of those fake people to vote with Acorn (or whatever Acorn’s new name is). But they cannot get enough of them to overcome the tsunami of voters unhappy with this congress and president (we still really like him, just not his policies).

These circumstances would be funny if they weren’t so tragic. Everyone knows the health care bill has gone completely out of control, and (to the extent that anyone can understand the thousands of pages of cobbled-together gobbledygook) that it will wreck the budget even more than it already is wrecked and will be detrimental to health care for the vast majority of Americans. The voters have spoken as clearly as any political message has ever been sent that we don’t like this bill and want it to stop. But Obama and the Congressional leaders have invested so heavily in passing the bill that they can’t turn back, even though to do so would be the best thing for both the nation and themselves. This is the face of political dysfunction that is so blatant and grotesque that would be unbelievable if we weren’t witnessing it: Self-destruction and destruction of the American economy, in order to avoid the embarrassment of admitting that the legislative process has gone astray. Considering the precarious state of the nation and the dire state of the world, that the Washington agenda is dominated by suicidal insanity presages evil days ahead.

no tyrant ever backs down from something that will grow his power. if hitler had not turned on and attacked the soviet union, just how would the war have ended?

their ecstatic suicide throes over this bill passing is only made understandable when one realizes it has nothing whatsoever to do with health ‘care’ or insurance and everything to do with a consolidation of power by stripping the citizens of their constitutional right to their own very being. it’s not so much the bill is moby dick but the american people are and obama , pelosi and the democrats are ahab. they want to destroy us.

“All that most maddens and torments; all that stirs up the lees of things; all truth with malice in it; all that cracks the sinews and cakes the brain; all the subtle demonisms of life and thought; all evil, to crazy Ahab, were visibly personified, and made practically assailable in Moby-Dick. He piled upon the whale’s white hump the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by his whole race from Adam down; and then, as if his chest had been a mortar, he burst his hot heart’s shell upon it.”-melville, moby dick

health ‘care’ will have to be pried out of the obama administration’s cold, dead fingers. obama might just be the ismael, the only one who survives -temporarily. the rest of them are going right down with the ship after we ram it. in the words of’ men on books’ from ‘in living color’, “i get get goose pimply just thinking about that big mister moby.”

What I don’t understand is that no one seems to be addressing the rising costs of medical care which drives up health insurance costs. It’s these very medical costs that are bankrupting insurance companies, businesses, and families.

Many seem so opposed to a market-based health care system.
