General Obama's Last Stand

Pelosi is right about one thing, the vote on health care will be historic. There’s going to be a massacre one way or another. A lot of Democrats know they’ll be left lying on the battlefield. General Obama calls for courage.

This proposal makes medicare stronger. It makes the coverage better and it makes the finances more secure. Anybody who says otherwise is either misinformed or they’re trying to misinform you. Don’t let them hoodwink you. They’re trying to hoodwink you.

Now, so, look, Ohio, that’s the proposal and i believe Congress owes the American people a final up-or-down vote. We need an up-or-down vote. It’s time to vote.

You know, now as we get closer to the vote, there’s a lot of hand-wringing going on. We hear a lot of people in Washington talking about politics, talking about what this means in November. Talking about the poll numbers for Democrats and Republicans. we need courage.

Obama’s right about one thing too. It does come down to what kind of country we want to be–the one Democrats want or the one the American people want.

Maynard appends:

The blatant lies coming out of Obama’s mouth boggle the mind. Setting aside the lies about the finances, and the lies about access, there’s the call for the “up-or-down vote”…which is an innocent-sounding call for the Senate to invoke the “nuclear option”, a Senatorial procedure that (as we’ve blogged on) has never been used for this sort of lawmaking. Obama is doing EXACTLY what he (falsely) accused Bush/Rove of doing. Watch this video clip. Obama campaigned on the promise of a broad consensus rather than a 50%+1 majority to ram through his legislation; he says Rove governed by 50%+1 because Rove “doesn’t believe in government”. Could anything be clearer? The man has no shame. Not to mention the promises of debates on CSPAN and no payoffs to the lobbyists and special interests and bills to be posted on the Internet for public viewing. Every statement he’s made has been shown to be a barefaced lie.

This is something that Americans have to learn about Progressives. When push comes to shove, they put before you the proposition, “Who do you believe? Me, or your lying eyes?” They make assertions that sound factual, with no room for equivocation, which are just plain false, or do not carry the weight that the person making them is trying to say they have.

I have heard legislative analysts, very smart people, who have looked at the proposals that they can get their hands on and they all say they are not real solutions to the problem. It’s more likely they could make the problem worse. Unfortunately we cannot trust what Obama says on this issue, because he either doesn’t know what he’s talking about, or he’s lying to our faces. I can’t even say, “Take what he says with a grain of salt.”

This altered photograph is shocking! But not for any reason that Obama supporters might cite.

Gen. Custer knew how to respect the American flag and waited to write his memoirs until he had actually had some experiences worth reading about. (In fact, he was working on a second volume, covering his Civil War experiences, when that fatal interruption at the Little Bighorn occurred.)

It is true that he was a Democrat, however.

Common history error here. George Armstrong Custer was not a General at the time of the Battle of Little Bighorn. He was a Lt. Colonel. During the Civil War, he was advanced to the brevet (temporary) rank of Major General but after the War’s conclusion he was given the permanent rank of Lt. Colonel which he still held at the time of his ill-fated final campaign. However, many in the media of the day still referred to him as “General Custer” from his days in the Civil War when he held the rank temporarily. Thus he still gets referred to as General instead of the mere Lt. Colonel he actually was.

I pretty much enjoy slamming Obamabutt in between confessions.

I just paid my taxes, for new glasses, and my car fixed Or I would be sending my proxy to Searchlight, Nevada Tea Party III Bus Rally. Sarah Palin, Victoria Jackson with her parodies, Joe The Plumber with his middle finger in the air, Andrew Breitbart and just recently Anne Coulter and Hannah Giles the 21 year old pretend whore, have joined on to the Rally for March 27th..

That crew will burn up Harry Milquetoast Reid’s birth place.
I am a Birther to annoy Obamanuts but I am proud Harry Milquetoast was born in a red ,white and blue town aka America as opposed to Kenya.
