So we are being labeled violent now so what is the next step? If we’re so smart why are we playing into the hands of our enemy? If we’re so smart why aren’t we doing something different? Labeling us violent and racist which we know they are going to do why aren’t we two steps ahead of them? We have had how many years to study these people and nobody has had a plan if all these things happen. I look at all the people in this big scenario and it just looks like everyone in our government is in on this. Oh sure the Republicans seem like they are fighting for us but you were right Tammy they looked like they were drunk and laughing while the were sticking up for the country. John McCain looks like a dork out there and Sarah Palin was saying it was ok for 3rd party competition. It’s the way I think about our music and film industry, out of all of the people in this world and all the opportunities that are available out there we get these people????? Where is our brilliant plan?? Is it because we were so tuned out for so many years this is what we get??

Are they now going to bomb our own country?? We have heard it for the last 8 yrs that Bush attacked our own country and now they are isolating us in the world so are they going to do the very thing they have been saying? Sure looks like it but what do I know…

Did you kind folks know that in one version of the Reconciliation bill is the Public Option??

The Bill that is the House Reconciliation is called H.R.4872… there seems to be two versions of it on Congress’ website.. and it seems like the layout of the two versions are completely different… so I have no idea if Version 2 is totaly replacing Version1.. or if Version 2 is being merged iwth Version 1.

Version 1 has the Public Option

    This is just step one.
Step two: Collect taxes, and drive the cost of private insurance up so people will clamor for “something” to be done about it.
Step three: Introduce a public insurance scheme that is about 20% less than the cheapest private plan.
Step four: Employers run to the public plan, by covering up to the amount of the public plan, and then making the employee pay the difference for what ever private plan they want. We then shift en masse to the public plan.
Step five: Medicine is fully socialized. A very few private companies will offer closed health systems, with private hospitals and other private member services. The government, having done its damage, will nearly deregulate the private insurance business, and institute tort reform, so that lawyers are severely limited in malpractice suits, which will keep costs for both doctors and hospitals down. The wealthy will have a nice private system, that won’t have to take the riff-raff, and will be able to define its coverage, the public will get a U.K.esque plan, at a cost that will be priced low enough to keep the private plan out of reach, and for those that try to play both, staying on public, until they really need a high level of care, they won’t be excepted, because the private plans will have been largely and quietly deregulated years earlier.

The wealthy will have better insurance, and better care, while the rest of us get what our “dear leaders” bestow upon us. Remember that the socialist ideal preserves the wealthy, and crushes the high wage earner so that he/she can never gain critical mass to become wealthy.

TUESDAY; FORGOT my mobile internet gadgets after being flummoxed by POTUS’ smug speech as I exited the kennel this am. Will have to wait for today’s podcast for a debriefing, Tammy style. Off to earn my kibbles – wondering how many of them I can keep in my own dogfeeder. POTUS has bit the hand that feeds ~ the American free market system. THANKs to Tammy and TAMS for a seat in this lifeboat.

    • RuBegonia says:

O Bloody Hell – as I hit the submit button above, my cell received the following TXT mssg from POTUS: “Today, after almost a century of effort, health insurance reform becomes law. Thank you for your partnership in creating change .. President Obama.” DOG DANDER UP…Grrrr!

We should force Republicans to an English class–teach them to say FASCIST! and MASS-MURDER when talking about the HitlerCare. They must call it what it is, and call OBAMA what he is.

    • thierry says:

they’ve made a little progress- from ‘ esteemed colleague’ to ‘ LIAR’ and now ‘ baby killer’.

      • SoCalGal52 says:

thierry, the man said “It’s a baby killer.” I just saw him on Hannity, and I liked him. He explained that he apologized to Stupak because he wasn’t saying it to Stupak personally but was saying it to the whole congressional floor. But he didn’t apologize for what he said. He was feisty and unapologetic for the words he used.

        • thierry says:

yes, i know what he said. i’m glad someone had the you know whats to say SOMETHING negative about this out loud. the bill is a baby killer,a job killer , an economy killer and a grandma killer- have i left out anything else it murders? oh yeah, the constitution.

ok, i’ll say it to stupak, personally,” you sir, are a baby killer. enjoy your airports, judas. “

Must the revolt have to be CIVIL??? DETAILS, DETAILS!

Michael Ramirez is the best in the business. His cartoons are both detail-oriented and thought provoking.

  11. mrcannon says:

Absolutely, the GOP needs a charge right up the (where the sun doesn’t shine). Republican Dave Reichert was on a Seattle talk show yesterday, and was asked about the repeal process. He actually said that he thinks repealing the health bill is way too radical. He would rather fix legislation that is unfixable. People of East Puget Sound: put this guy in his place now. Any Seattle TAMs hear that interview? Did you notice how dismissive he was, chuckling here and there? He clearly has no grasp of the seriousness of what the Democrats have done; after all, he won’t be directly affected. It’s bad enough that this man was a former sheriff who voted for cap-and-tax. If there was ever a time for Republicans to man up, it’s now.

  12. SoCalGal52 says:

Anybody smart enough out there who might know if we can Impeach Obama for this. I believe he is has commited treason, that he is a traitor to our constitution. I want this dude impeached, but I don’t know if this is possible yet.

    • franknitti says:

Forget impeachment. Not with a Democratically controlled House and Senate. It will never happen. Doubtful that it would happen under a Republican controlled Congress either. Even if it did, the alternative is Joe Biden. Do we really want him in the Oval Office? I’d rather go with Urkel for four years and vote his ass out in 2012.
