Woo hoo!

Specter’s projected loss, Paul’s win shake up political landscape

Voters in Kentucky, Arkansas and Pennsylvania decided primary election races Tuesday that had incumbents sweating and ideological activists looking to flex their political muscles in what is shaping up to be a tumultuous election year.

In the night’s biggest contest, CNN projects Rep. Joe Sestak is the winner of Tuesday’s Senate Democratic primary election in Pennsylvania, defeating five-term incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter.

But not-so-good news in the PA-12 race, the old Murtha seat:

Also, CNN projects that Democrat Mark Critz defeated Republican Tim Burns in Tuesday’s special election to fill the House seat vacated by the death of Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. John Murtha.

Murtha’s seat depended upon the Democrat Dolist Machine. He died, it didn’t. Frankly, it will be a cold day in hell before that welfare mecca votes against their self-interest. Just because it seems to be in the boonies of Pennsylvania doesn’t mean that the tailored welfare havens are not in place to carry Democrat majorities every time. It’ll take a transformative candidate like Sarah Palin to break it down.

  2. I was sooooo….disappointed Tim Burns didn’t make it. I MUST get out of PA…I hate this state…LOL! Pittsburgh and Philly decide all of our elections…and usually for the worst.

Thank God, that Mark Critz only gets to serve until November. Burns would have won if the votes had not been split between him and Bill Russell. Russell took 42% of the Republican votes.

Helluva choice in Kentucky for the Republicans. A kook or a RINO squish. Almost enough to make one take a close look at the Democrat in November. Hells bells.

Mark Critz, a former Murtha staffer, won Murtha’s seat by running against everything Murtha, and democrats stand for.
He ran as anti-bailout, anti-Obummer-care, anti-abortion, and pro-gun rights. One would almost think he’s a Reagan Conservative Republican.

He’s just going to lay low, and pretend to be a conservative until Nov. Then, if re-elected, he will show his true colors. I have said it before, if you are STILL a democrat today, there is something wrong with you, because Washington democrats are all fascists. At this time in history I honestly believe there are no good Democrats in office. (and I used to be one until Clinton/Lewinsky)

I too heard about there being some sort of bacteria, you should get taken care of, that leads to ulcers.
Thank God it’s not something worse! I’ll never forget the great feeling of relief that flooded through me when my own condition was diagnosed as merely being intergalactic brain worms.
