UPDATE: Cuomo says, nope, not him.

I noted on Johnny’s show this morning that it would make sense, after all, there is more space under the Urkel bus. The Dumb Bastard is in trouble for 2012 so why not bring someone on board that feasibly could add something to his ticket? Yet, Cuomo may actually have an opinion about how to run things, and that’s something Obama just won’t have. At the same time, Obama could continue the destruction of America by choosing Cuomo who “has been called “the father of the subprime crisis” for the policies he orchestrated.”

Biden has been perfect for the Maniac-in-Chief, he goes along to get along. It does bring up this question: While Obama should change out his Gaffe Machine, who should he choose? 😉

Will President Obama Dump Joe Biden So Andrew Cuomo Can Be His 2012 Running Mate?

The New York Post reports that a key New York Republican, William Powers, thinks New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo has been so successful thus far in office that a struggling President Obama is likely to turn to Cuomo to join his 2012 campaign in the role of Vice President. With Secretary of State Hillary Clinton rumored not to return for another term, and with the possibility that Vice President Joe Biden could switch to that position, is Cuomo being Obama’s running mate a real possibility?…

Cuomo is already frequently mentioned as a candidate for President in 2016, yet would he be in favor of accelerating his plans for national spotlight so quickly? Overall this is all pure speculation, but if Obama’s poll numbers do drop significantly and the eventual Republican nominee starts gaining traction, then adding Cuomo to the ticket might actually not be such a far-fetched idea.

Well, that’s one way to get Cuomo out of New York. Of course, if Team BHO loses anyway, what does that mean for Cuomo’s hopes for 2016? Sandra Lee has helped give him a smoother, softer image, but the real Andrew is a nasty man. A very nasty man, don’t see him putting up with a fool like BHO for long, especially if he thinks the second term damage done by BHO will hurt the Cuomo dream for 2016.
Hey with New York anything is possible. Read this weekend that the GOP vote that tipped the balance for gay marriage was actually a long time Dem who switched parties in order to defeat the Dem running. Naturally, the NY GOP is shocked by his betrayal, simply shocked! And of course, the Conservative Party will not give him THEIR endorsement in future elections!
Suffolk County may have it’s 1st female county executive, inspite of the NY GOP. Seems the boys didn’t want to let her have a shot, despite years of service. They preferred finding some millionaire boy who would fund own campaign. When they all backed away (mostly cause she threatened a primary), she got the spot by default.
That’s how we play in New York.
Don’t think GWB even ran campaign ads here, wasn’t worth his time or money, NY is so lost. Reagan managed to grab the state, so I do have faith that if a certain Exceptional American runs in 2012, yes it is possible, if not probable, even NY wants to be saved.

A Dem switching to Repub to defeat another Dem. I gotta admit, that is pretty creative! I’m kind of wondering if that’s how we got a lot of RINOs. Someone who wants to be a candidate for office can look at which constituency is more likely to vote for them and just go for that party, regardless of their own beliefs, or the party’s stated principles.

I’ve seen some dirty pool in my state, though it doesn’t sound quite as rough as your neck of the woods. In ’08 the Dems did a number on the Repubs. Some damaging information had been released about the Repub candidate in 2nd place, leading up the gubernatorial primary. Oppo research, and the Dem accomplices in the media, released a story, timed shortly before the primary, that the Repub front runner for governor plagiarized a policy paper he was paid to research. This throws the Repubs into chaos. The Repub candidate in 3rd rises to first place, and wins the primary. He starts getting donations from big-time Dem fundraisers. Then it comes out that the primary winner has tons of baggage. He was a former police officer and had plenty of ethics troubles. He was kicked out of the force. Repubs call on the new front runner to drop out of the race so that the party can put a dark horse candidate on the ballot before the deadline. He refuses. The dark horse candidate decides to run on the Constitution Party ticket for governor, splits the conservative vote. The Republican candidate gets *barely* enough votes to qualify the Republican Party for ballot access in the next election. “And he scores!!! Thank you, thank you very much!” The Dems win the governor’s race handily.

Just learned recently that after an ethics investigation, the Repub candidate who was charged with plagiarism was cleared of all wrong-doing. The incident happened several years before he ran for office. It turned out one of his staffers, who was explicitly instructed to do original research, disregarded the instruction and plagiarized the material, unbeknownst to anyone else. The staffer denied the charge that he plagiarized, but the ethics investigation smoked him out. Maybe the Repub candidate wasn’t the sharpest tool in the toolbox, but it seems he was the most honest. Too bad he lost.

Cuomo Aligns Perfectly with the Temporary President:

From the “On the Issues” Website:
Supports federal abortion funding. (Aug 2010)
    Supports government-run healthcare. (Aug 2010)
Supports restrictions on the right to bear arms. (Aug 2010)

New York State for the Republicans is a LOSS, period, in the General Election. And Sarah(if I were running her campaign) won’t waste a single dime trying to convince the citizens she’s a solution to their economy. They’re goners, just like California. In my opinion.

If you say Obama/Cuomo real fast it sounds like Tarzan lingo. “Cheetah! Umgowah Obama Cuomo. Obama Cuomo!”

    They better think this through.

Regardless of whether Biden gets dumped from the ticket, Cuomo appears to be shaping up as the next in line for the Democrats in 2016. Just like daddy Mario was the next in line for them way back in 1992. We all know that Mario dithered and withered and ended up not getting into the race thus allowing Slick Willie to get the Democratic nod. Will history repeat itself or will we even have a United States in 2016? Inquiring minds want to know.

As a New Yorker I say put Cuomo on the ticket! That man is more stupid than Biden and everyone here knows it — thus assurng a Palin win in NY. Lets see — he would have to Quit how long after being elected?
