I must say, one of the…edgier Michael Ramirez cartoons–and on the mark as usual.

Welcome to a News & Palin Lounge for tonight. As I post this, the House has passed the Tax, Spend and Incur More Debt Bill, with 66 Republicans voting “No.” Links regarding this and other news follows.

As with other Lounges the “no links” rule is lifted in the name of lounging and sharing.

In other news, I just made arrangements to be in Waukee, Iowa for Governor Palin’s speech on September 3rd. I look forward to seeing some of you PalinisTAMs there 🙂 And FYI, Governor Palin will be on Greta Can Susteren’s show tonight to talk debt ceiling and Tea Party.

Since the entire legislative process has completely broken down, the latest news is the deployment of the Special Educational Team to Washington, DC.

Just seems like the debt limit should be raised only if our exports yeild more revenue than the revenue we export to other nations.

A pithy summary I heard somewhere, something like: Obama is helping the half of the population that doesn’t pay any taxes by demanding the rest of the people stop slacking off and pay their fair share.

I’m trying to make sense of this article that Tammy linked up.

    First, it quotes Biden saying…

…to the wary [Democrat] caucus: “They [the Republicans] have acted like terrorists.”

    A few paragraphs down…

“I did not use the terrorism word,” [Biden] told “CBS Evening News” anchor Scott Pelley.

I guess there’s a distinction between saying “terrorist” and using “the terrorism word”. Or between saying, “You’re a terrorist” and “You’re like a terrorist.”

Hey, Joe, you act like an @$$hole. But if you say I called you an @$$hole, I’m going to call you a liar.

Et tu Rasmussen? The bright-eyed chubby pollster omits Governor Palin, for the second time now, from his Republican presidential survey while including Governor Perry, who placed second to Mitt and gained considerable buzz (including mention on O’Reilly’s boorfest the other night).

  8. JEN says:
