With all the recent concern about the Missouri US Senate race, here is the general overview of the national Battle for the Senate. The current Senate has 53 Democrats and 47 Republicans. Once you take look at this Real Clear Politics map you can see why every toss-up state matters. We must gain control of the Senate if we are to destroy ObamaCare and help Romney/Ryan get this nation back on her feet.

The margin of control is also important. If the GOP ends up getting just 51 seats, we’ve seen what can happen with RINOs in our midst, like Snowe, Specter and Collins. The problem, of course, is even with newbie Tea Party conservatives in place, we will still have to deal with people like Hatch, who will cut deals with Liberals every chance he gets. We must have a conservative margin that can withstand such shenanigans. The RCP map is based on their poll averages.

Thanks to and great job by Patricia who compiled this listing of the dynamic in each state with a race. I’ve put in bold the races of particular interest. As an example, even though this list indicates Connecticut is “Mod DEM Gain” Linda McMahon has just recently gained in the polls. These races change every day and we’ll keep you up to date. Also, please add into comments anything about these races if they’re local for you or if you’ve seen important updates.

Senator John Cornyn(R-TX) the Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee had better get off his a** , get serious money, technical/organizational support and surrogates from sitting Republican Senators into the ‘toss up states’ right now or else the failure to win a majority in the U.S.Senate will be, like it or not, his problem. Big Time. And mark my words, he’ll be history in Texas next election cycle since Ted Cruz has blazed the Conservative trail here.

Off-topic. Link is to story about FBI investigation into political unreported finances in Miami involving a political friend of Rubio. Commenter suggests that this is prime reason why Rubio wasn’t selected for VP.
