Yes, the Senate would rather have us look at shiny objects that could also destroy our future. In the meantime, they confirm a guy who will play a role in the continuing destruction of America’s influence, strength and security. Senators John Cornyn, Ted Cruz and James Inhofe were the only senators to vote “No.” All Republicans. Here’s a reminder of who our new Secretary of State really is.

Via Weekly Standard.

The United States Senate voted 94 to 3 to confirm one of its own, John Kerry of Massachusetts, for the office of secretary of state. Republicans John Cornyn and Ted Cruz (both of Texas) and James Inhofe of Oklahoma were the only senators to vote against Kerry’s nomination to succeed Hillary Clinton at the State Department.

Kerry himself voted “present.” Kerry, who was first elected to the Senate in 1984, was the Democratic party’s nominee for president in 2004. He remained in the Senate after losing that race to George W. Bush.

Deval Patrick, the Democratic governor of Massachusetts, may appoint a successor to the Senate until a special election for the seat is held.

Not wanting to jinx it, but so far, no demerits for Ted Cruz.

Wonderful (not). Yet another Leftist, Blame-America-First jackass who believes the world is better off when the USA is weak. He will get along splendidly with the DB. They are two peas in a pod. (At least, he dropped that awful, phony elitist accent from forty years ago.)

Kerry is just more grease on our slide to the bottom of the barrel.

Now, Mr. 57 States of America has got his man to take that message to the world.

It might be worth noting that the Committee had a ‘voice vote’ to move the nomination to the floor for the final vote. Why? And where were all the ‘conservatives’ in the Senate to join Cornyn, Cruz and Inholf? They all talk ‘big’ when they have their speeches but at crunch time they’re cowards. The whole lot of ’em…

And here’s the new diplomatic approach to Iran, hot off the presses. I shouldn’t be amazed, but I am, that the DB can get U.S. Ambassadors to be the hit men who mug Netanyahu.

“…Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has not yet made the decision to pursue nuclear weapons, according to U.S., European and Israeli intelligence agencies….
At the moment, the Iranians are heavily burdened by international sanctions. We would be wise to explore avenues for ratcheting down those sanctions as part of a negotiating position….”

Kerry stabbed us Vietnam Vets in the back years ago, he faked his military awards, in the most arrogant blather I have ever heard. Now he’s going to stab every American in the back in the most arrogant blather you will ever hear. Thank the dumb bastard,

  14. Maynard says:

Somewhat OT, but I see they’ve found more recordings of Egypt’s Morsi calling Jews “descendants of apes, pigs”. President Obama responded by calling for Morsi to step down from the Egyptian presidency, and instead invited him to become the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
