“Nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping…” LOL! You know, I think people in general are tired of being lied to by politicians on both sides of the aisle. NBC was planning on the casting equivalent of a corkscrew landing in Bosnia with setting Diane Lane as Hillary from 1998 to now. In truth, the best casting would have been Ethel Merman or even Ethel Mertz, but what do I know?

Via Deadline Hollywood.

Now CNN has caved on its Hillary Clinton documentary. Just weeks after NBC issued a statement saying its Hillary Clinton miniseries – which was the biggest bit of news at its Summer TV Press Tour 2013 appearance – was after all only a project in development and might never see the light of day (translation: don’t hold your breath) – CNN let it be known its CNN Films division had informed the mothership it had decided not to move ahead on its Clinton docu – because the director had bowed out.

“Charles Ferguson has informed us that he is not moving forward with his documentary about Hillary Clinton … [W]e won’t seek other partners and are not proceeding with the film,” CNN Worldwide told Politico. In one of those incredible coincidences that makes this industry so interesting, Ferguson wrote a blog post that is published in Huffington Post today in which he complained pressure from Clinton’s camp and the Republican National Committee led many of his prospective interviewees to give him a “no dice” response to appearing in the docu. He expresses surprise to discover “that nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film. Not Democrats, not Republicans — and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons, wants access to the Clintons, or dreams of a position in a Hillary Clinton administration. Not even journalists who want access, which can easily be taken away. I even sensed potential difficulty in licensing archival footage from CBN (Pat Robertson) and from Fox. After approaching well over a hundred people, only two persons who had ever dealt with Mrs. Clinton would agree to an on-camera interview, and I suspected that even they would back out.”

I understand why conservatives felt this would be unfair leading into 2016, but interesting how everyone associated with Hillary were so afraid. Gee, why do you think that is?

Gosh, Tammy, how much bad news can we take? 🙂

Btw, anyone know where I can get Hillary’s dress? (I’m looking for a new shower curtain)

This report is hard to believe. Because you’d think the Hillary story, as set down by the mainstream hagiographers, would basically write itself. They know the narrative; the facts are irrelevant. Dammit, they’re good at doing this. Why stop now? It makes no sense.

Peggy Noonan had previously written a troubling/amusing editorial in which she laid out how the story would flow. Hillary the Docudrama. Why didn’t they use this? I don’t get it.

If people got the green light to talk about Hillary, the Clintonistas don’t know who would talk, how many would talk, what they would say, what might slip out. They can’t control that narrative, too many variables, too much risk, so they squashed it.

Well, they ARE carrying the ‘Water Bucket’ for one Malevolent Village Idiot ‘Want-A-Be’ Dictator; two would just be an impossible task, even for them.

There are some books about her, probably enough.

I’m still struggling trying to figure out what the hell her accomplishments are. An ex-presidents wife ? A failed secretary of state ? BTW, why was she given that position ? A college graduate ? I find her boring, boorish, a user and just plain plain.

From the Rose Law Firm (Whitewater Controversy) to Benghazi, there isn’t a big enough carpet to sweep all that dirt under it. Oh btw, Rush has been saying for a couple months now Christie will be a Dem by ’16. 😉 #GreatMinds

I’m guessing Kathleen Turner wasn’t available for the part of Hillary.

Hey, today (9/30) is the 75th anniversary of Chamberlain’s triumphant “peace for our time” speech (1938).

Hey, kids, what Washington politician said this?

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Yes, those were the words of Sen. Barack Obama in 2006, as he cast his vote against raising Bush’s debt ceiling to the then-high sum of $9 trillion. Funny how times change.
