In the spirit of giving credit where credit is due, I give a tip of the hat to Bronco ‘Bama: This latest interview is absolutely breathtaking! He is truly the Spin Master, the Guru of Bulsh***.

In fact, when he leaves office, I definitely think he needs to write another book. I already have a working title for him: “The Audacity of Bullsh*** — How to B.S. Your Way Through College and Beyond.” This will be an instant best-seller. I only wish I had something like that when I was in college, when I didn’t know how to answer an essay question. As BOR commented last week, “Obama can talk for fifteen minutes about his shoelaces.” What a talent!

You can read the transcript, below, and embedded in the article is the video of the interview. Caution: In a stunning display of chutzpah, Obama actually invokes Ronald Reagan;  this may induce a head explosion or a migraine.

via abc News: Obama Rejects Criticism of Shifting Syria Policy: ‘I’m Less Concerned About Style Points’

President Obama says a tumultuous month as commander in chief, when his policy toward Syria took a number of unexpected turns, may not have looked “smooth and disciplined and linear,” but it’s working.

“I’m less concerned about style points. I’m much more concerned with getting the policy right…”

Obama argued…that the choices he’s made — including a renewed partnership with Putin — have already created a desired deterrent effect, making it less likely the Syrian government will again use chemical weapons in the short term….

Obama said he is optimistic but cautious that Putin will be a reliable partner….

“I welcome him being involved. I welcome him saying, ‘I will take responsibility for pushing my client, the Assad regime, to deal with these chemical weapons,’” he said. “This is not the Cold War. This is not a contest between the United States and Russia.”

If Russia wants influence in Syria, Obama added, “that doesn’t hurt our interests.”

The president suggested that he even sees a potential role for Iran in helping to stabilize Syria, despite reports that Iranian fighters have been streaming into the country to support the Assad regime.

Obama confirmed publicly for the first time on “This Week” that he has exchanged letters with new Iranian president Hassan Rouhani, who has vowed to act forcefully to prevent any Western military intervention in Syria, using “all efforts to prevent it.”

Obama said he believes his threat to use U.S. military force in Syria, and subsequent pause to pursue diplomacy, sends a signal to the Iranian regime in the ongoing dispute over its contested nuclear program.

This really does require a Tammy Radio Mystery Science Theater 3000. 🙂

Fruits of Obama’s incompetence? It’s more like the fruits of his incontinence. He can’t keep his crap in, wherever he goes he keeps spreading the crap around. Never have I seen anyone who spreads so much sh*t everywhere. 🙁

  2. Maynard says:

Obama’s blundering and Russia’s steadiness have combined to assure Assad’s job security for at least another year, along with maintaining his chemical stockpile. And he made America look like a warmonger while Putin and Assad played the role of peacemakers. Meanwhile we showed Israel and Turkey and Saudi Arabia how pathetic and unreliable we are, and of course signaled Iran to go full speed ahead with the nukes.

So what does Obama do? He takes a victory lap. Because the reality doesn’t matter, if you can spin it. It boggles the mind.

I wish Obama could take a lesson from Putin. If we had treated Mubarak the way Russia treated Assad, Egypt wouldn’t have gone down the tubes. Obama is truly the King Midas of sh*t.

Who else in history, has turned EVERYTHING he or she has ever done into an opportunity to “self promote”? Who is the model of “self promotion”?

Shifra, you nailed him. He is the master guru of BS. He’s pathological to the point you almost have to ask yourself, “maybe I’m not hearing him right” or “is there something wrong with me?” Well, the BSer certainly won’t get any credit for being original. With regard to the red line, he simply invoked the excuse of his liberal predecessor (Clinton, not Bush). It depends on what the definition of “is”, is.

Russia’s help with Syria doesn’t hurt our interest? He sees a role for Iran in helping to stabilize Syria? Now, I asked myself, how can he say those things with a straight face? Short answer, he’s a pathological BSer. He’s also an inept novice (who wants to bring America to her knees) and that makes him dangerous.

Sorry, I can’t watch him speak. I just read the transcript. 🙂

Calling assaults “tragedies” is trademark BS for this administration and their cozy MSM outlets.

I find spin by omission in the President’s Constitution Day proclamation. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/09/16/presidential-proclamation-constitution-day-citizenship-day-and-constitut

“…As we celebrate the world’s longest surviving written charter of government, let us remember that upholding our founding principles requires us to challenge modern injustices. Let us accept our responsibilities as citizens, our obligations to one another and to future generations. Let us move forward with the knowledge that in the face of impossible odds, those who love their country can change it….”

Why would upholding our founding principles require us to challenge modern injustices? Would that be because America was founded as a Christian nation and the Judeo-Christian morals are what require us to challenge injustice? And regarding, ‘those who love their country can change it’, leaves out that those who don’t love the country want to change it while implying that if you don’t want to change the country then you don’t love it.

As an aside, shouldn’t some atheist sue the President because the Proclamation that he signs says, ‘in the year of our Lord’.

Well every day to Obama is Spin Day, but for the rest of us, Happy Constitution Day, September 17.
