There should be an award for “Liar of the Past 5 years and 3 years Coming Up.” He’d win that one, too.

As spotted by Bryan Preston at the PJ Tatler, Politifact, the leftwing “fact” “checking” organization, awards Mr. Obama their “Lie of the Year” today for his repeated claims that “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan”:
“If you like your health care plan, you can keep it,” President Barack Obama said — many times — of his landmark new law.
But the promise was impossible to keep.
So this fall, as cancellation letters were going out to approximately 4 million Americans, the public realized Obama’s breezy assurances were wrong.
Boiling down the complicated health care law to a soundbite proved treacherous, even for its promoter-in-chief. Obama and his team made matters worse, suggesting they had been misunderstood all along. The stunning political uproar led to this: a rare presidential apology.
Good post, with his signature crotch salute to America.
The Lie of the Year just doesn’t do it for me. How about The Lie of the Decade or, The Lie that Destroyed the Progressive Movement in America for 100 Years, or The Lie that will Live in Infamy!
I take exception to this award. Obama probably does lie more frequently than Bill Clinton these days, and is certainly worthy of honorable mention. However, Clinton will always be the superior skilled liar, and he is still out there practicing his craft.
The lie of the year was actually uttered on January 20, 2013, when the Kenyan usurper and traitor falsely (and illegitimately) swore the Presidential Oath.
