Craven jerks, every single one of them.

Via Roll Call.

Newly minted White House counselor John Podesta has apologized for a remark that likened House Republicans to a “cult worthy of Jonestown” after getting called out by Speaker John A. Boehner’s spokesman.

“They need to focus on executive action given that they are facing a second term against a cult worthy of Jonestown in charge of one of the houses of Congress,” Podesta told Politico’s Glenn Thrush earlier this fall, before the former chief of staff for President Bill Clinton was named to the White House post.

Podesta apologized via a tweet.

Brendan Buck, spokesman for Boehner, had suggested the quote was a bad omen for 2014.

“For those who’ve forgotten, a Democratic member of Congress was murdered in Jonestown and a current one, Rep. Jackie Speier, was shot five times during the same incident,” Buck noted.

“If this is the attitude of the new White House, it’s hard to see how the president gets anything done again,” he said.

Considering that the White House hasn’t really gotten much out of the House anyway and expectations are extraordinarily low for the coming election year, that might not be saying all that much.

Libs seem to think that the words “I’m sorry” are like a toy that I loved as a kid: “Magic Slate”

With a red stylus-pen, you could draw anything, then lift up the top layer, and poof, the drawing was gone, and the slate was clean, ready for another scribbling.

Somehow, Libs think they can spew anything that pops into their heads, without self-censorship, and then, when people get upset, instead of lifting the top layer of the Magic Slate, all you have to do is say the Magic Words: I’m sorry.

Well, I am sick and tired of these juvenile Lib apologies (Martin Bashir, Ed Schultz, etc.) I guess when they were children, their parents forced them to say “I’m sorry” whenever they did something wrong.

Only reason he said, sorry, was because if he didn’t then media (some) would ask Obama why hasn’t he (Podesta)) said that he was sorry and do you Obama agree with his Jonestown analogy. This way Obama can say Podesta said that he was sorry and I think that’s appropriate, old news, next.

This is the left’s latest meme to slime republicans and conservatives, it has been going on for a while, thus all the name calling: “extremists” “terrorists” etc. right out of Alinsky’s book I think. It will continue because it is effective and there will never be any consequences for going to far- at least not as long as it is the left. Like Hillary taking responsibility for Benghazi. Chuck it down the memory hole and move on.

It’s bad enough when a twenty something makes reference to an event like Jonestown, having no real knowledge of what it was about, but when it’s an old geezer like Podesta who is well aware of what happened, but figures most folks won’t see beyond the kool-aid, it’s disgusting. I would have liked at least one journalist to have quizzed him about the “details”. Forced him to explain exactly what about Jonestown reminded him of a political party opposed to his own. Or does he consider anyone who thinks differently than he to be a member of a cult? What’s that you’ve been drinking Podesta? Looks a bit like Koolaid to me.

And in other opinion news, the Conductor of the Munich Philharmonic is a friend of Putins. He is being taken to task for not sufficiently distancing himself from Putin’s anti-gay policies. Three political factions of Munich city council have requested an Emergency meeting for next Wednesday to discuss.

This is very different from me (just a citizen) saying be suspicious of and don’t vote for Obama because of his friends. This is closer to the government asking, Are you now or have you ever been a friend of Putin.
